I would like to say how lovely the Hotel Ellen Vannin is. The Hotel is beautiful, staff are very friendly and welcoming. The owners Paul and Pauline are really great hosts. The Room we had has everything you would expect, the bathroom was a great size very modern. The room had a suite which is just lovely and the decor...

This isn't a "business" hotel with a soulless lobby and a corporate brand to maintain, it's a really homely, friendly establishment with high quality accommodation and facilities and great personal service. Really nice comfortable rooms with good telly, fast wifi, iron (that works) and ironing board, alarm clock etc. Daily newsletter and cakes left in your room. Nice touch. The...

This hotel is in a great location, on the promenade and close to the ferry terminal and shopping centre. The double room overlooking the sea was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was good and I found that food and drinks at the bar were reasonably priced.

Let's face it, the hotel experience in Douglas is generally poor. This is an old fashioned terrace hotel. That means it's downside is a narrow flight of stairs and no lift. As a customer the right side of 60 I got the top floor. Within those constraints it what you do with it. So clean carpets, fresh paint, sockets with...

Just back from another lovely overnight stay at Ellan Vannin Hotel. The little touches make it such a lovely experience. Breakfast was gorgeous. Staff are lovely and always friendly. Beds are so comfortable.

8th stay in the hotel. By far my favourite hotel for a short business stay. They are continually doing bits of improvement to rooms and services. Friendly staff, good service, comfy functional rooms. Wifi improved on this visit. Maybe not the cheapest, but great value.

Lovely hotel staff very friendly. Up graded to room with sea view which was lovely. Recommend room 4. Hotel is close to all shops and bars. Only down fall was the malicious activation of a manual call point at 03:30 in the morning, this incorporated a full evacuation drill of the hotel. After some time i actually called the fire and...

Stayed here for 2 nights on business. The staff give a lot of thought into personal touches i.e. 2 homemade cakes each evening that went down rather well😀 and a letter addressed to me not "dear customer" Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel, lovely owners and staff, brilliant breakfast. Great location. We went for walks to the harbour and ate lovely seafood. We also took a bus to Peel and had a lovely lunch by the harbour. It rained Tuesday and we idn't feel like going out, we asked Paul (the owner) where there was a good fish and chip shop, he...

We were only on the Isle of man one night, but two full days. The hotel was clean, quaint and right on the water. Every hotel on the boardwalk faced the water. We were able to catch the Horse Trolley right out the front door. All the shopping was on main street right behind the hotel.
