Everything about staying at this lovely hotel was positive; from the very welcoming hostess, to the spotless, comfortable rooms and the beautiful breakfast the following morning. Liz made us feel very welcome and little touches like providing fluffy bathrobes for after a shower gave it a more luxurious feel. Rooms were warm and comfortable, showers were great and location was... More

Stayed here during the Christmas season. From beginning to end the visit was lovely. We received a warm welcome on arrival and that theme continued. The whole place was immaculate (and that doesn't really do it justice) and touces that one simply does not get in a "supermarket hotel" - such as fresh flowers in the public rooms (I noticed... Well-situated just back from the promenade and beach. Well appointed and comfortable room. We were well looked after and the breakfast could be as large as you wanted and freshly cooked. There are plenty of restaurants nearby of various types.

On our way to Newcastle for a RWC game, we received a phone call informing us that our booked accommodation wasn't available any longer due to a fire. They organised us a sub-standard place which we weren't happy about. We then took a chance and knocked on Liz's door. She couldn't help us for match day, but was happy to... More

We had booked 2 rooms for one night but for some reason the Expedia booking had not advised the B&B. When we arrived the shocked owner advised us that she was fully booked for the night. However, she advised my husband & I that we could sleep in her unoccupied daughters private quarters & share her bathroom & our daughter... More

The lady who runs the hotel is wonderful. My wife and I stayed with our daughter in two lovely rooms. She made sure we had everything we needed and made sure we found the best fish and chip shop in the area. Definitely recommended.
