It was a longer Metro ride from the main train station than many hotels, but the Metro is fast and the location/service was worth it. The outside and inside of the lodge have wonderful ambiance. The breakfast was filling and beautifully presented. We stayed here at...

Stayed 2 nights at Oak Tree Lodge. Very clean b&b. Breakfast was very good. The owner was very helpful, suggesting good restaurants and a nice walk along the coast to Tynemouth. He even gave us a lift to the ice rink as it was raining.

Our stay was very pleasant, the hosts were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We were advised of the best places to visit and restaurants for meals. The bed was very comfortable and room lovely and warm in October, a good choice for breakfast, which was delicious.
