I recently visited this hotel on a school residential trip with 29 10 year old students and I have to say how accommodating they were. The staff were so welcoming and helpful in making our stay something to remember, with such clean and comfortable rooms the place just felt like a home away from home. The food was amazing with... This was an average b&b, the four star AA rating flatters. Breakfast was an experience - staff who appeared to be on work experience with no urgency or charisma. Slow service on all three days, the first day the owner said "it's not normally like this, everything has gone wrong". Not the best idea to announce this to guests -... More

This is in a wonderful location, only a 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach and little village. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. The owner has the patience of an angel, especially when she was woken up at 5am by my boyfriend who had forgotten his key. I didn't stay for breakfast but had a quick look at... More

Well what can I say other than excellent. The rooms both mine and my daughters was lovely, when first viewing them mine was a double and my daughters was a family room for 3. I mentioned we were originally looking for 2 twins the lovely Michelle said it wouldn't be a problem, she was willing to take the one bed... More

We had a great night here. It's hard to find good family rooms for 5 but this one is perfect! Very friendly service, easy walk to the front and a fantastic breakfast. All you need, including self service bar/ lounge area.

Booked just for a weekend, friendly welcome on arrival but was then allowed to just get on with our weekend, the lounge had an honesty bar which was very well stocked and the breakfast was outstanding, my husband at the time was ill so had a few specific requirements but nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are modern and... More

Bit hard to say type of visit I'm solo but it's also a school trip. But on both sides it's a lovely place to stay. As a coach driver I spend many hours in hotels and never feel welcome. Mostly an inconvenient added customer. Here I've been made most welcome. My room is comfy, clean and welcoming. All other area's... More

Just got back from staying here over the weekend, Michelle was a fantastic host. Stayed in a deluxe room with free standing bath. The room was perfect and as described. Well what can I say about the breakfast, it was delicious and cooked fresh to order with everything you could think of for breakfast from a full English to continental... More

As has been mentioned in other posts, Michelle was there at the door to greet us and give us a very warm welcome and loads of advice on things to do and places to eat. We have 2 children aged 4 & 7 and the room was an adjoining room with bunkbeds. The accommodation was very clean and tidy throughout... More

We have just returned from a relaxing couple of days at The Lawns in Sandown. We arrived early and were given a choice of rooms. The ladies who run the hotel are very helpful, friendly and polite. They provided information about events and made a variety of suggestions about places we might like to visit or eat in. The rooms... More
