It was a toss up between Premierinn Sandown or the Wight Bay Hotel also in Sandown. We decided on The Wight Bay Hotel purely for the better location as it was only a short walk up from the pier. We stayed at The Wight Bay Hotel for one night on Wednesday 19th April, 2 adults and 2 children. When we...

The hotel offered a week's half-board accommodation for a group of 42 from our twinning partners in Coburg, Germany, at reasonable rates. The reception from management and staff was excellent, coping efficiently with individual requirements and providing a warm and friendly welcome. Members of the group praised the standard of breakfast and evening meals with an overall high standard of...

This hotel is in a really good spot near pier and short walk to restaurants and cafes - as others have mentioned it is a bit shabby / dates but everything is there. Waitress service at breakfast with cooked breakfast and fresh fruit, yoghurt etc. Room fairly small and tiny tv ! Tea and coffee though so all good for...

Hotel building was clearly quite something in the past but is a bit tired now. However, it is clean and the rooms were comfortable, if on the small side. The big plus side is the staff who were very friendly and very helpful. The breakfasts were good with all the usual cooked and cereal options and it had a homely...

Stayed here for three nights on a mini break with my partner. The hotel is clean, staff attentive, and the room was comfortable. It looks like each room comes with tea and coffee facilities, and a TV, and you also get free WiFi. We got a sea view, which we hadn't specifically requested, so this was a very pleasant surprise!...

Booked this hotel through Groupon, to be brutally honest, it is tired, needs a bit of a facelift, but don't we all. That was the downside. The positives, well, spotlessly clean, well run, excellent food, we ate in on 2 of the 3 nights that we were there. All meals, be it the multi choice breakfast or dinner was cooked...

Just back from three night stay at this hotel. Could not fault it. Clean, but needs a bit of TLC. Staff very friendly and helpful. Sorted out problem shower very quickly. Good choice at breakfast and lovely evening meal. Would go back again. Bit of a steep hill down to beach if anyone has walking problems but beach is just...

Stayed here for 3 nights and cannot say a bad word about it. For a budget hotel it was perfect for our first stay on isle of Wight. The rooms were clean, made up everyday, bathroom was clean and the shower a powerful one (which is lovely after a walk up needles!!), beds are comfy, room was spacious enough for...

Although the hotel is dated this did not take away the fact that it is excellent value for money. The twin bedded room was clean and comfortable and the new water system gave the most fantastic powerful shower. We did not have an evening meal but breakfast was plentiful with variety. A hotel not pretending to be something it isn't...

this review is in two halves, the first is the bad bit about the awful twin room they gave us on the groupon deal,i will never understand this policy about giving the groupon deal rooms the worst that the hotel has DO YOU WANT PEOPLE TO RETURN ? plus the hotel was nearly empty that night, now the good bit was that...
