If you love the countryside, you'll love Glenkilrie House. It is on a working sheep and cattle ranch. A huge pasture full of ewes and lambs were right next to the driveway! The house is a Norman style, built of stone. Our room was in a separate wing, on the ground floor and overlooked more pastures. It was very clean,...

We found Glenkilrie House to be the perfect setting for a quiet, countryside break. The rooms were spacious and immaculate, the bed comfortable, and the lounge area, with a fireplace and lots of guidebooks, was the perfect spot to relax and plan the next step of our vacation. Views of sheep grazing on the hillsides completed my notion of a...

We stayed here for two nights while we went to the Braemar Games. Morag made us very welcome. The rooms were really comfortable, and the breakfast was great! It's a stunning part of the country. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Stayed for 2 nights recently for a nearby wedding. Best decision we made in terms of available accommodation. Had 2 rooms booked and had to make some last minute adjustments but Morag was tremendous and sorted us out with no fuss. Rooms were brilliant as was the breakfast. Great house in a great location and we had a walk up...

We were completely charmed by the location of Glenkilrie House and its surroundings... The most beautiful piece of countryside I've seen in years. Unfortunately unable to stay for the night but we had the opportunity to test the Glenkilrie family's absolute kindness - we were out of petrol, they sold some to us. Forever grateful! Thanks. We'll be back for...

A lovely building set in an ideal rural location. We stayed for 3 night’s b&b for our recent hill walking holiday. The breakfast was cooked to perfection. The en-suite room was comfortable and homely. The room rate was great value for money. we would stay again.

We stayed one night on our journey to the north of Scotland. Morar looked after us extremely well. Our room was very comfortable and we had the use of a lounge. Breakfast was excellent and it is very reasonably priced. If you are travelling to the north it is worth getting off the A9 and joining the A93 at Perth....

I was on a cycling trip and stumbled across Glenkilrie house after seven nights camping. I was made to feel very welcome even though I hadn't booked. It's a beautiful old house set in stunning countryside with wildlife all around. Fantastic host with a great breakfast. Couldn't ask for more, great value for money.
