We live locally and occassionally think, "a lets give it a go", and always end up thinking, "what a waste". The ambience can best be described as down market, not bother with for sometime. There is no atmosphere in the bar ir restaurant. The staff are bored and uninterested and the foid is a super representation of ll that I... More

Well the staff were friendly, helpful and did their jobs, but my room (one of the cheapest) had seen better days! The furniture was mismatched, the wallpaper peeling and the paint battered. There was an 'interesting' selection of hangers (from various stores and dry cleaners), but at least the bed was OK, the towels fine and the hot water worked.... More

Booked after staying there last year for a short golfing trip with eight in the party. Wasn't very good last year and has not improved. No hot water on arrival, or indeed till next day and then only for a short while to some of our rooms and then none the day after. A TV that pixilated badly but that... More

Stayed here for the Yomp, for a few nights actually checked out early as my own house much more comfy. Had rooms in the annex part, which are very basic indeed but it was clean. Was actually out of the hotel for the most part but the customer service was hit and miss. They weren't too happy with people coming... More

I stayed at this hotel with my parents. We have 2 rooms and they gave us rooms on the top floor. However, this hotel do not have elevator so we had to carry 3 huge suitcases by stair. They refused to switch us to rooms on the lower level although they have rooms and gave it to other guests. The... More

From the moment we walked in to this hotel we knew we were on a winner. Christine at reception was most welcoming and even upgraded our room which impressed us greatly. The friendliness shown towards us by all the staff was exceptional. Couldn't ask for anything better. The room was spacious and the ensuite had the largest and best towels... More

Visited for a meal on Saturday night. I was very surprised at how accommodating this venue is to GF dining. We are local and this will be our new regular haunt to ensure we can all eat together rather than cooking for my 7 year before we go out, which defeats the point in a meal out. Very impressed.
