Stayed at the hotel with a wowcher deal, it was very good value for money. Food was great, although as it was very busy service was a bit slow. Leisure facilities were good and clean. Room was also an acceptable standard. The hotel good do with some modernising but overall it was a good experience and I would stay again.

Have just returned from an overnight stay with my husband. On arrival the lady we spoke to was warm and friendly but the others were moody and unwelcoming. Our room was nice, clean and spacious the only fault was the noisy busy road right outside the hotel. We headed for afternoon tea which was an absolute disgrace!! The woman served...

We came as a family group (mixed age group) of 12 to celebrate my parents Diamond wedding. Overall we all had a lovely time. The reception staff very kindly put up bunting and banners for us in the bar in the afternoon and served our cake along with my plates and napkins. This was much appreciated. The 60's/70's tribute night...

Spent one night here with my partner Lesley on the 28th feb (our 5th anniversary) We got what we hoped would be a great deal and that's exactly what it was. We arrived early and our room was ready so we got our key, the lady on reception was very helpful and informative. The room was nice and inc tea/coffee...

Hotel very tired looking and much in need of refurbishment. The sliding door from bedroom to bathroom was off its runner and in need of repair, as was the towel rail whose rod fell off when I went to put a towel on it. Food I would say was adequate although the choice was limited. However, in saying all that...

Stayed with group of ten all together for 60/70s tribute weekend booked direct with hotel. Excellent price included DBB and entertainment on the Saturday night, although we were allowed to ' gatecrash ' the entertainment on the Friday night late on which was also very good. The hotel in my opinion is lovely. It is quite old and very dated...

Our room was spacious and clean. It overlooked the square at the front of the hotel - the outlook was nice but could be rather noisey with the passing traffic, The lounge and restaurant were comfortable and homely and the woodburner was toasty. We had a lovely afternoon tea with cakes that were beautifully light and tasty. The staff were...

Just returned from a two-night deal which included a Tom Jones tribute show and 2 nights DBB. We had booked this directly with hotel and were joined by two friends. There were some really good points - and one or two not so good points. First the good points : the standard of accommodation was just fine. We had asked...

Yes, the hotel allows dogs although they aren't allowed in the bar or restaurant are any more, I didn't know they had changed their rules and felt my dog would have been better off in the kennels than being restricted to our room and passing through the main lobby only!!! Past managements review on dogs was a more relaxed attitude, they were allowed in the bar area and in the beer garden!!!
