Came for an overnight trip to Tenby and chose to stay here based on the location.
It's a bit weird to check in in the middle of the restaurant - appreciate it can't really be helped, but it was full and it just felt like everyone was watching us and listening so a tad invasive. The girl who checked us in asked if we would like a room with a balcony, but then said "well, it's a rooftop with a bench on."
Our room was up two sets of stairs which was fine for us.
The room was lovely enough. The girl was right about the "balcony", it was just the rooftop. We don't care, but I would recommend them to cordon of the area so it's just the bench part. Having worked in hotels, I know how the public can use any opportunity for an "accident" and there was a lot of random stuff on the roof trop like gardening tools etc. But this area would be so perfect during summer as your own little beer garden as you can get drinks from the bar downstairs!
The staff were really friendly and explained how to get in once the pub part is closed. Seen people complain on Trip Advisor about how early they shut, but you're literally in prime location and I think it's very good of a venue to shut early because people can't control themselves and cause problems!
We slept well and found everything to be comfortable. My only gripe would be that the wifi was pretty poor. It would disconnect frequently as it didn't have signal by the bed which was annoying.
Overall a great stay and would definitely chose the Normandie again when we come down that way!

We stayed for 2 nights and were pleasantly surprised at how large the room was. The room was clean and well decorated but the ensuite was in need of a little updating. The WiFi was spotty and I could only connect infrequently. It was quite noisy due to the pub downstairs and its central location but it didn't prevent us from sleeping. Staff were friendly. Overall, we would definitely stay again.

The staff were pleasant, and they reminded us of the noise issue. We had ear plugs with us but didn't need them as it wasn't that bad. The room was spacious with a large en suite. It was generally clean, but a few things let it down. The bathroom was dated, with some poor finishes around the bath. The room itself was generally clean, but what let it down was a number of dead insects on the top of the sash windows. The blinds were also broken in some places with bits missing.
We paid £120 and there was no breakfast included yet on the Internet it states they offer a full Welsh breakfast. It would be beneficial to update their information.

Spent two nights here for my Birthday, what a lovely welcome from Rosie and the team. The room we were allocated was to the front of the hotel, it was clean and bright, with lovely crisp white bedding, the bed was very comfortable, we had a good night's sleep, it can be a little noisy but it is in a prime location so can't really expect anymore, I think the seagulls made most of the noise early in the morning lol.
We ate at the restaurant on site for one evening, the meal was outstanding and there was plenty of it, we did order an extra side of garlic bread and coleslaw but we really didn't need it.
We will definitely be back.
Thank you Rosie and the team.

Looked ok on Booking.com, however pictures can be deceiving.....
Reception was very modern and trendy, with staff helpful, pleasant and showing us to the room.
Room 6 was very dated and not clean...............
Of particular concern was the mould and damp on the ceiling and walls. Clearly this had been a previous concern as their were x3 airfresheners in the room to try and hide the smell of damp.
The window didn't fit the wall apature as there was a gap between the frame and the wall. Shower screen didn't fit the side of the bath so floor was soaked after use, which then started seeping into the room as the bathroom door in no way fitted the frame.
Hair bands and hair clips on floor (obviously not been hoovered recently).
Weather was rather warm and only air con was a tiny fan that you could not leave on all night as it was so noisy & rattled itself off of the dressing table.
UHT milk was nearly out of date so coffee had white bits floating in it.
Could not have a wash or a wet shave in the sink due to no plug.
Location was very central, but noisy with only sinle glazing, not forgetting the gap in the window.

I've visited many steak houses and this was by far the best steak I have ever tried. It knocks the socks off Dexters, Cattle & Co, Pasture and Miller & Carter (which is rubbish anyway) and many others throughout South Wales.
The meat comes from an award winning butchers from Narberth, my partner and I both ordered the 16oz rump and were delightfully stuffed! Our steaks were cooked to perfection and the mushroom and onion that comes with it was a lovely addition.
Another positive was the price. Tenby isn't cheap anyway but other pubs and restaurants will offer a smaller cut of meat from the local cash & carry for £22. This was £26 and well worth it. We'll definitely be back

Stayed 2 nights. Ate in the pub the first night. Excellent pub grub.
Room was fine although window didn’t seem to shut properly and not double glazed - hence SO noisy !! Sat night it went on till 230 am. Ask for a room facing the back.
Very clean room , adequate tea and coffee making facilities.
Disappointed no breakfast so we took a cool box , the second day we tried to go out to a recommended restaurant but as it was Sunday we were a bit too early !
The staff at the Normandie really go the extra mile though. Nicky, Rosie , Jade plus all the others whose names I’ve forgotten - you are amazing. From fixing the tv ( maybe put one remote away and leave a few instructions ? ) to recommending restaurants for a special anniversary dinner they are SO helpful.
Room tip. If you have mobility problems ask for the first floor rooms.
Altogether a lovely stay.

Stayed here for 3 nights last week. Lovely young lady checked us in and assisted us with our bags to our bedroom, room 6. Great size room, comfortable bed with.lovely clean white bedding. Courtesy tray was brimming with tea, coffee milks etc. No breakfast included but.lots of cafes, rugby club offering breakfasts. Every shop cafe pub in tenby displaying notice saying staff required. Maybe that is why the Normandie doesn't offer breakfast. We ate 2 evening meals here. It is a typical pub grub menu with massive portions. No desserts but I'd be surprised if anyone could eat it after a main course. Normandie staff are so lovely. Always greeted with a warm and friendly smile. They seem genuinely.interested in their customers. Must mention the slightly older lady in the bar every evening. She is such an asset to the Normandie. Very friendly, bubbly and always singing! Absolutely adores her work and it shows. To whoever owns the Normandie...you have the very best staff. Mind you look after them.

We called in twice for evening meals you don't have to book and they try their hardest to accommodate you. The food is delicious, steak is to die for, salad was delicious and plentiful. Plenty to choose from off the menu. Friendly staff and covid compliant. Will definitely be calling again when we return.

It was our first time visiting this pub/restaurant and we liked it so much we went every day! Virtually open and serving meals at all hours. Generous portions of good quality food, great veggie choices, my favourite being the veg lasagne, but also plenty of choice for meat eaters. Good beers and ales, wine, soft drinks and tea and coffee. Reasonable prices too. There’s a lovely courtyard to have your meals and drinks when the weather is nice. Can recommend!
