Paul and I arrived early and asked if we could leave our car here. It was no problem at all to leave our car at the guest house. Jayne's friendliness continued once we arrived to settle in. She took us to our bedroom which was of course gorgeous!!! All matching decor with fabulous bedding on a massive bed. Loads of...

2nd visit and as wonderful as the first, Jayne and Steve greeted us and made us feel very welcome, a real home from home. Room was spotless and comfortable, breakfast was top class, would recommend visiting cawthorne house. Nearly forgot a mention to jayne's parents who helped and a special mention to Betty the dog she's so lovely :)

We could tell on our arrival this B&B was going to be good by the genuine friendly, and helpfull way Jayne and Steve met us in the garden. The grade2 listed house is gorgeous and extremely well maintained. We have just returned from a 2 night stay at Cawthorne House. Jane & Steve are such lovely people and really can't do enough for you, the rooms are immaculate with everything you could want to make you're stay as comfortable as possible. Excellent place to stay. We were greeted with tea and coffee with freshly baked cake and shortbread which was delicious. The room was outstanding with plenty of room and everything there that you need. The bathroom with shower unit was ideal for us. Breakfast was wonderful. You help yourself to a choice of juice, cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurts whilst...

This was the one of the best places we have ever stayed, Greeted with tea and cake on arrival we had an excellent room,spotlessly clean and excellent facilities.The breakfast was superb and Jayne goes out of her way to make you welcome. It really is worth a visit and ideally placed for a visit to the North York Moors railway.

apologies for not adding this review sooner - visited again during 1940's weekend in October 2014. An excellent stay - nohting is too much trouble for Jayne and we cannot praise her wonderful local produce breakfasts highly enough.
