Just been for three course Sunday lunch, very busy, lovely starter of prawn and melon, roast turkey dinner, lovely and hot plenty of veg, now the downside, order lemon meringue cheese cake with a citrus syrup. What I got was a very dry cheesecake with a mini crushed meringue nest over the cheesecake, a at the most a lot teaspoon of...

I think some of the previous reviewers must have been staying at a different place. From the minute we arrived to the minute we reluctantly left everything was top notch and 5☆. The room (19) was spotless and beautifully decorated. We ate in the Grill Room and I had a three course meal for £5.95. Great value and delicious. Breakfast...

I stayed here for one night and that was one night too much. The smell of drains throughout the hotel is disgusting. The rooms are old and dated and smell of damp and there was no hot water for a bath. The breakfast was ok but not even a proper spoon to stir your Luke warm insipid tea - just...

First impressions of the hotel were not too bad until I walked through the main doors and hit with a wall of Fart. Seriously Staincliffe guys. Get your act together and do something about the smell of sewage and silver fish bugs in the bath. Lukewarm showers? Lovely view and lovely receptionist, Loads of Pontential.

A warm welcome to this seafront hotel. No lift up the stairs but an impressive creaky grand staircase leading to creepy corridors and ultimately to my room where someone had gone crazy with a bedroom stencil kit all over the walls. Fine for a one night stay. Food was great with large portions.

Lovel view but the smell throughout the hotel was foul. It smelled like a bursted sewer and has done for the last year I have been staying. I would stay more often but it's too stinky... Shame because the receptionist is so polite and helpful. Bless her, she has to work in this smell!! The chef seems keen to finish...

Awful food! Chef clearly has no pride! Seem to be a lot of staff and it wasn't very busy for a lunch time but the wait and service was terrible. Ordered desserts in hope but never got them and no apology. Staff didn't really seem to know what they were doing - poor management!

We eat and drink here fairly regularly. The staff are always friendly helpful, and understanding ounce we have had a few. The food is always good and offers good value. Have some good offers. The sea views are often taken for granted but give the place a great addition
