We went for a weekend to Aberdeen and I was looking for a bed and breakfast. Aberdeen offers a lot of them but for sure none is as good as this one. Yes it cost a bit more but is worth every pound. High quality of all products, very nice interior, very clean and comfortable. James, the owner and his...

Me and my wife stayed here in the beginning of September. My parents and my brothers with wifes also stayed at Aikenshill. James provided the best service, way beyond what can possible be expected. Everyone were so happy about the stay at Aikenshill. Really nice rooms with wonderful views of the ocean. Thanks for the stay and we will be...

This may have been the best B&B I have ever stayed in. Jim and Shona are the most gracious hosts. The property is flawless as is the service. The room was fantastic with a clear view of the North Sea. I got up early and feed Shona's beautiful Highland cows (her girls) and walked around the property. If you ever...

The family running the B&B is making this our best hotel and B&B stay ever. They went far and beyond all expectations we had. It was like staying with your really close friends. We were 8 people staying for two nights, and we were all extremely pleased with the stay.

My husband and I spent two/three nights at Aikenshill at the end of August.... wish we had more time but will definitely be back. May I start by saying that our host was extremely welcoming and attentive to our needs and comfort. Went beyond what is required from a host to accommodate all our requests and is so friendly and...

I've stayed in probably 4 dozen B&Bs in the UK and Ireland and Aikenshill House is quite simply, the best. James and Shona are incredibly warm, personable and accommodating hosts. Shona said they attempted to capture the best of what they liked from numerous places in which they have stayed around the world...mission accomplished! Aikenshill House is a century old...

We have nothing but the highest praise for our stay at Aikenshill House and for our gracious hosts James and Shona. Our stay was the highlight of our Scotland trip. As mentioned in the other reviews, the views, rooms, house and meals are excellent. Aikenshill is furnished like a luxury boutique hotel but has a relaxed, informal feel. Most appreciated...

As my Husband's family had originally come from Ellon Scotland I looked on Trip Advisor to find a place to stay in August 2015. James was excellent in keeping in touch and I felt we already knew him before our arrival. We asked for a room on the first floor ( USA second) so we did not have too many...

Everything about Aikenshill is spot-on. Friendly people who make u feel at ease, beautiful and immaculately clean rooms throughout and thoughtfulness that goes far beyond what you would expect. On top of that James and Shona make it look effortless. They even sent my phone charger to me after I left it in the room, thank you!
