We had a truly wonderful experience at Shelleven House. The owners were friendly, efficient and met our every need. Breakfast was hot, huge and scrumptious. The location is Bangor was excellent; just a short walk to the waterside, lots of restaurants to choose from and a very nice waterfront park and walking area.

Returned to find Shelleven under new ownership. Sue and Paul are gradually putting their own stamp on this Victorian villa and are doing a great job.I was made to feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble for them. There are rooms with seaviews and it is just a short walk into the town. The breakfast menu is varied and was...

Sue and Paul exemplified customer service at the highest level. The property is pristine and is nicely nestled above the Bangor harbour with stunning views. Room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast reflects the traditional Irish fare while also offering lighter, well-being fares.

8 of us over 55; looking off the road most travelled. We used our own resources and research from historical to hysterical. Finding hidden gems and local pearls of wisdom our goal. Sue and Paul aided our travels from check in to check out!

Sue & Paul and their team are warm welcoming and very accommodating. Their property is very elegant and very well set up. So close to the township and the harbour. So much better to stay here than in Belfast. The bedrooms are lovely and the beds very comfortable

This is in town of Bangor and off the tourist circuit so wandering about town, you mix with all locals. The marina and shop and restaurant areas are easy walking from Shelleven and there are pretty walks along the water. B & B itself is semi elegant. Our double room was very spacious, had high ceilings and was very clean....

Second stay there this year. Hospitality really good. Rooms and facilities bang up to date and very pleasant. New owners Sue and Paul are certainly doing everything to ensure Shelleven maintains its pre-eminent position among Bangor's guest establishments.

The owners Sue and Paul are simply fantastic, nothing is too much trouble and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The room I stated in was the deluxe double and was immaculate cleanliness wise, with everything you needed in the room from free wifi, toiletries, tea, coffee, biscuits to even filtered water, the sea view was amazing....

I took my 10 year old Son to Aurora water Complex, wanted to stay over, the Guest House, family run, full of the positive energy needed. We got the "Superior " room I think they called it? The Room. Fantastic, spacious, and all the trappings that a 4**** hotel would have. Great view. Freshly and tastefully refurbished recently Well done....
