I wasn't expecting much from a 2 star hotel, but i had a very pleasant stay. Staff all friendly, bedroom very clean, and a fan in the room as requested. Bathroom very up to date too. One thing could be improved in the bedroom are the cups and saucers, i prefer a mug, as you can get much more in a mug! Breakfast was pre-order, i was just happy with tea toast and cereal, though i did push the boat out and had Beans on Toast on the 2nd morning of my stay, obviously a cooked breakfast is available too. Maybe some croissants and some fruit to be put on the table would be a good idea. Hotel is very handy for the town, and the Bodmin & Wenford Railway which is a 10 ish minutes walk away but very uphill getting there! If i need to stay in Bodmin again i wouldn't hesitate to stay here!
We had a lovely stay the hotel which was clean and spacious. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the vegan breakfast was really tasty, thanks for a lovely stay would definitely happily return again :)
Thankyou to everyone at the Westberry hotel, Bodmin. You was all super friendly, the room was very clean and the food was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, I would definitely stay here again. Keep up the good work guys. Breakfast was also great and the location is spot on to see some of cornwalls beauty's
Initially my wife and I spent 5 nights at the hotel, then spent two nights at our daughter,s home. We decided to delay our return to our home in the midlands until after the August Bank Holiday and so spent a further night at the Westberry. We found all the staff extremely polite and friendly and, every area of the hotel was spotlessly clean. The one area that could be improved would be the breakfast choice. Fruit etc. The breakfast that we had each morning was however excellently cooked.
We found it by chance on booking.com and we were positivly surprised. We had the superior double room, very spacious, and the restaurant is one of the best in the vicinity. You have everything for a night´s stay, free parking, wifi, excellent breakfast, dinner, and a bar. And the rate was modest. No complaints at all.
The hotel was very good, the staff were lovely, the rooms were clean and tidy also supplied toiletries and the breakfast was plenty including cerials, juice, tea, coffee full english including toast. Nice clean hotel would recommend.
The room was ok but our bed was like a rock and so were the pillows. I had one of the most uncomfortable nights ever. I mentioned it when I checked out only to be told “that’s impossible, it’s a new mattress”. Note to the owners - new does not mean comfortable or good. And at £128 a night it’s totally unacceptable. Such a shame the Premier Inn isn’t closer to town as we needed to be in walking distance and the Westberry’s location is perfect for that. But that’s where perfect ends. The Vietnamese restaurant is ok - a bit pricey. The staff were very friendly as they were at breakfast too but for what you get for your money I wouldn’t stay here again - way overpriced.
Parking was fine but if there's a function on i suspect can be tricky. Very Clean and tidy Overall trying to decide between a Chinese Restaurant or a hotel with mixed decor throughout. A fan was provided but the cable was so short we had to put it on the bedside table. No real use of the outside garden Very convenient for the town. Restaurant open to 9:00PM but when we went down at 8:30 told the kitchen had "turned the ovens off and closed" Breakfast told to sit where you want - but not there as that was for X people - so they made you move. Breakfast itself was competent without being splendid. So overall a mixed bag i.e Average -- I would stay again but more likely look around first.
We had 2 rooms a two day stay in Dublin. The staff was tremendously accommodating for our entire stay. Rooms were spotless, beds were comfortable, room service and the restaurant service was excellent. The location of the hotel is a bonus as well! Would definitely stay here again without hesitation!
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at this hotel and restaurant. Having celiac disease is no fun but at The Westberry the food was superb and the chef even produced a starter which was not on the menu. It was so good I had the same the second night and so did my partner. Main courses were equally as delicious. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and well placed for touring Cornwall. I would highly recommend to anyone.
