A stunning holiday park surrounded by the beautiful Lake Hawea and grand mountains. Very spacious, scenic and peaceful. The waterfront site was well worth paying a little extra. Would I stay here again? Definitely.

A nice cottage within a very pleasant camping ground. Unfortunately the rain really turned it on so outside activity was limited. However one brave soul from our party did throw a line in the lake. Caught a decent trout and a small salmon. The cottage was warm and well equipped. Serves our overnight stay well with a good value for...

Our 7th accommodation during our 2 month NZ road trip. We stayed here for 4 nights in end-November. This was our first camping ground location of our NZ stay, though we stayed in a self-contained cottage (C3) for 4 days. There was an incredibly huge expanse of space for our kids to run around - a small forest, a playground,...

It was a rainy day and we decided to take a break from sleeping in a tent, so we stayed in their Lake cabin. It was the best decision! The price was affordable, comfortable bed, and the view was absolutely amazing. We truly enjoyed our stay there.

Camped at the park in December 2016 you can pitch you tent right on the river the views of the river and mountains are spectacular a truly magical setting. Not as touristy as Lake Wanaka and right next door.

Our family has been staying at lake hawea holiday park for some years now, sadly due to the rude manor in which we were spoken to by the new manager we will not be returning next summer! He certainly didn't leave us feeling very good and spoiled our holiday that we had worked towards all year. Very immature and unprofessional...

At what is a stressful time of year management let down there amazing team by inability to handle busy situations and basic customer service .True managers recognise their own weaknesses, and keep cool heads under pressure if they are unable to do so they remove themselves from situations they are not equipped to deal with , the staff member was...
