We recently visited Keswick and stay at the Riverdale Hall County House 2 days ago for one night stay Bed & Breakfast, the hotel is very nicely situated of the A68 and was handy for ourselves as were visiting Kielder Forest for the Annual Winter Wonderland. The day was a complete disaster from the moment we walked out of the...

Booked a couple nights here last minute for a relaxing couple of days away. Easy to get to from the A68, and ideally situated for walkers and hikers. The food was lovely, and the hospitality second-to-none. The room was a fantastic size, with a good-sized en-suite with bath. The four-poster bed was very comfortable, and the only down-side to the...

This is a very comfortable hotel. Our (number 1) was excellent, situated at the back of the hotel, overlooking the river. The food, which was locally sourced, was delicious. Their pool is surprisingly large, possible to have a good swim in rather than just a splash about. Not sumptuous but very good value for money

The great thing about the Riverdale is the location , the excellent food, and the best service and attentive staff I have ever witnessed in any hotel. the hotel has a rustic charm, plenty of little bars and rooms, and a nice restaurant. The bedrooms vary in size, ours was large and with great views across the cricket pitch and...

Over 20 of us enjoyed an excellent weekend , some fabulous food and excellent wines, with a quiz on the Friday evening and a tutored tasting by Carlos, Spanish wine expert. The hotel could benefit from some refurbishment but the welcome was warm, staff friendly and we will probably return again next Autumn.

I've been visiting this hotel since 2002 with work. Rooms and food are always good at very reasonable prices. When I get a chance to explore in daylight which is rare, the landscape and scenery are amazing. I wish I could come here without work!

We went with friends for a wine weekend, the location, near to Kielder Water and Forest is good for walkers, and the hotel, having a swimming pool is good for relaxing after a walk. The food was excellent and the owners were very friendly. We had room 21 which also doubles as a conference room and so it is a...

Went to a Wine Weekend here with a sizeable party from our local Wine Circle and we added a few extra days. There is so much to like about this place and in our opinion it is good value for money but lacks a little finesse in places which stops it getting a higher rating. Our room, in the annexe...

We stayed in a dog friendly room, as we took our 9 month old boarder terrier dog. Everything was really fantastic. The food was exceptionally lovely, breakfasts excellent, good sausage and perfectly cooked bacon. For Sunday lunch, a huge chunk of lovely tender beef, crispy roast potatoes and fresh vegetables. For pudding, I had a wonderful soft brownie and vanilla...
