We used to stay here regularly when visiting the WW1 battlefields and to pay our respects at the Commonwealth war graves; and it was an outstanding hotel and restaurant with excellent staff. The owners always made us very welcome and we were delighted that after so many years when we returned that we were recognised. A sure sign of people...

A nice, charming hotel with a strong personal touch, centrally located in the Thiérache / Picardie area. Modern rooms for a comfortable stay. Be prepared to walk some stairs, though. The "Menu d’ici et d’ailleurs" of the restaurant offers a variety of fine dining dishes, the wine list a choice for everyone's liking. When in the region, worth a detour...

We have visited here several times. The hotel has gradually undergone renovation and is now much improved. Many bedrooms overlook the secure parking and are not just quiet but silent. There is good easy to use WiFi throughout the hotel. The rooms are a good size. Ours (no 2) had en-suite bath with fixed shower head and glass screen. There...

Great little hotel, superb food, friendly staff, beautiful back garden and terrace, and a really wonderful location for getting around this part of France. The restaurant is wonderful -- Monday nights it is for hotel guests only -- and the place is very clean and comfortable. Lots of stairs, so be ready for that, and really interesting art on the...

Unlike many French provincial Hotels, this Hotel has been updated, and redecorated, and even has a delightful garden. Mme Pierrart could not have been more helpful, welcoming us warmly, in English. The rooms are updates with comfortable beds and tasteful drapes. The food , in the very full, restaurant is excellent and innovative, and very good value. There is also...

This really is a gem in an area that seems to be virtually unknown to English visitors. The town itself is, like many in the Thiérache, a bit run down. This hotel is certainly not - nicely decorated, clean, comfortable with welcoming personnel. However what really makes it is the quality of the food in the restaurant, certainly favourably comparable with...

Do not let the fact that it is a small family ran hotel fool you. I stayed at hotel for 3 days while doing business un the area. Upon entering it reminded me of a small bed and breakfast. You are greeted by the owner, Who speaks English. She is such a delight. She escorted me upstairs while dragging my...

We stayed here for one night. Our room overlooked the back and was extremely quiet. The restaurant was exceptional - delicious food and extensive wine list. We were made to feel very welcome and will go back again for a longer stay as, from the information at the hotel, it seems there is plenty to see in the area. It...

We stayed here with our motorcycle group. We had a very warm welcome and there is easy parking in the courtyard behind the hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable and there is a bar with ample seating. The restaurant was a delight, we were served the most wonderful set dinner. I would highly recommend.
