Oh my goodness - there aren't enough glowing words I can write to properly capture our stay at this property. If you are considering a trip to Koh Samui (which you should), I would tell you to book a room/villa at this Intercon in a heartbeat. The property itself is just stunning. We were pretty tired as we arrived after about 36 hours of travel (yikes), but as we walked into the open air lobby (LITERALLY is the most stunning view of the ocean), it all melted away. I felt my jaw drop and was just stunned at the view in front of me. We spent quite a bit of time in this main building; we had leisurely tea, cocktails and snacks in this same open air club space, just staring at the ocean. Come on...life is good. Our room was a multi-bedroom villa which was ridiculously awesome. We were so spoiled to be in that space. It was well cared for with prompt servicing daily, which they deliberately did while we were having tea after breakfast each day - smart and thoughtful. And there was turndown service each night that left loads of cold drinking water around the room for us as well. It was always both thorough and quick. The resort itself is quite large, but the buggy system means you aren't hiking all over the place. Just dial '0' and within literal minutes a cart appears to whisk you wherever you want to go. That said, the walks are also awesome. There's a super cool suspension bridge that makes you feel like you're on a jungle trek, and the beach & water activities (all included) are right there for you. Shuttles are continuously running to take you to various spots on the island as well. Very accommodating for both the adventurous and the lazy (which we completely were.) ALSO there are 6 public pools plus a few private ones. Our favorite had a view of both the jungle and the ocean...we were often the only ones there and it was straight up nirvana. The food was tremendous. For us the highlight was breakfast. Again, you're gazing at the ocean and you've got both a world-class buffet of awesome options (including the best chocolate croissant I've ever had, Paris included on that list...) as well as options you can order. Two restaurants on property, multiple bars, and room service that was both really good and not price gauging. With club benefits, you can access delightful afternoon tea & snacks (and it's not just tea...get any coffee you want.) And at night, more canapes and cocktails while you watch the waves (and not basic cocktails, either...I had a watermelon martini that was out of this world.) We loved it all. Having said all of this, it's the impeccable service that truly made this place stand apart. When I tell you everyone went out of their way to treat the guests like royalty, it's not an exaggeration. They addressed us by name (not something I expect but something that caught my ear.) They remembered that I drink sparkling water but my husband drinks still (I know that sounds so pretentious...but I say it because it's nothing I ever would expect but I noticed that they took the time to remember and I appreciated it.) From the breakfast crew to the club staff that served tea and cocktails to the buggy drivers...every single person went above and beyond. The GM took the time to visit with us several times and also taught us about a local Thai coconut caramel. All of these interactions combined to make us feel special, and while it's nothing you expect on a holiday, when it happens (and in such a beautiful setting), you're left feeling like a million bucks. So this is me saying stay here. I will again.

Hotel's Favourite
The Interconti Koh Samui is very quietly located on the coast in the west of the island, which almost guarantees wonderful sunsets. The architecture of the whole complex on the hillside is impressive, but for guests with walking difficulties this would be rather arduous. But there is an excellent buggy service at the hotel, no long waiting times, nice drivers and great views of the surrounding landscape. Wonderful! Already the transfer from the airport with Khun Duke, a very nice and good driver, was very relaxed. The staff at the check-in in the club lounge was efficient and friendly and with a cold drink the relaxation already started. Our room (beachfront pool villa) was spacious and well furnished. Although right on the beach, our terrace was well protected from views of beach walkers. The most beautiful thing for us was the private plunge pool directly in front of our room. Great! The breakfast buffet at the Amber was convincing with a very large selection, good quality and also here with very attentive and nice service. This was also true for the dinners at Amber and Flames, with our feet in the sand. The lounge for club guests offers a wonderful view of the sea and you can often enjoy a wonderful sunset there. Here, too, we were lovingly looked after (e.g. Khun Tim), although the quality of the canapés could be a bit improved, even if the presentation was wonderful. Khun Suthira's handling of complaints was also successful. Our villa bordered a lawn in front of the beach where a noisy wedding party with booming music was taking place one evening. We were offered the option of moving to another villa (2 bedrooms, no pool, no beach view) for that night, which we finally accepted at 9 pm, unnerved. But here the buggies with the wedding guests raced past the villa at night. To appease us, however, we received a wonderfully decorated bowl of mangoes and an excellent dinner at Flames. Nevertheless, it would be useful to inform the guests about impairments in advance of the trip. The work of the concierges (Khun Buay, Khun Jana) was exemplary and proactive. They were always on hand when entering the lobby, asked about problems, helped with phone calls, e.g. with Bangkok Airways, and offered on their own to do the online check-in for the return flight. But as in so many Asian hotels, the most important asset in this hotel was the staff. No effort was too hard for them. We took a taxi to Nathon one morning to buy mask straps for our FFP2 masks, but came back with no success. Khun Itt (F&B manager) noticed this and surprised us the next morning when he gave us two straps he had bought for us. This behaviour was typical of the entire staff. So: We will gladly come again.

We stayed in a Villa and cooked breakfast and dinner but had lunch each day in one of the restaurants. The beachside pool area was wonderful for our family. Service was attentive but not imposing with that unique Thai smile

We stayed here for five days in June during our tour of Thailand and some of the islands, and we are so glad we did. From the moment we arrived, we were hit with the most stunning sea views in reception. These views were constant throughout our stay - from the bar, to the main restaurant, to our gorgeous bedroom suite. There were lots of activities, lots of pools to try and fantastic food. There was no need to leave the hotel during our stay, everything was provided and nothing was too much to request. Food was delicious every day, and all staff were friendly and welcoming. We were very likely, that due to it being the backend of Covid, it was extremely quiet. It felt like we had the whole hotel to ourselves, complete bliss! Overall, we were blown away and it was one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Highly recommend!!

My stay was more than excellent. The team is super attentive and they made sure that the stay is wonderful. The Air bar is amazing. The spread of the hotel is on a cliff and beach area what is very well kept, clean and excellent for a walk or exercise.

The hotel is situated on a steep cliff overlooking the Gulf of Thailand on the South West corner of Koh Samui. The very comfortable rooms are spacious and offer very good views from the balcony. Specially recommend the Air Bar for it s Instagram worthy view and great service. The breakfast is of good quality and staff is very service minded. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here 4 nights and I would rate it one of the best resorts in Samui. The view from the rooms is to die for. The resort is constructed in such a way that you get a sea view from almost every room! The resort is big, on a hill and has its own private beach strip. Near the shore the bearch is a bit rocky so swimming in the beach is avoidable but the resort compensates with several superb swimming pools situate at different levels! Rooms are spacious and very, very comfortable. The bed is one of the best I have ever slept in any country! All furnishings and fittings are top notch and there is clear 5-star quality every where. The bar is fantastically situated and spending the evening there watching the sun set is one of the sheer delights of life. Enjoyed that very much. The bartender is good and mixed us great cocktails. The all-day dining restaurent is very good with decently wide spread fare for breakfast. The Italian restuarant down near the beach has a fantastic ambience as you can sit outside on the beach sand, hearing the gentle lapping of the waves while you sip your drink and eat your superbly cooked pastas! Buggy rides on demand to go from the resort to the beach available all thru the day. There is a pier that makes for great photo shoots. Boat ride is available for a price while kayaks are available for free. There is a great restsuarent just outside the resort which serves very affordable, good meals. They even come amd pick up if you make a reservation. Do give that a shot. If I return to Samui, the Intercontinental is certainly a resort that I would want to revisit. Great memories created by an excellent team of enthusiastic staff who are ever ready to fulfill your smallest wishes. Fully recommended, without any reservations whatsoever!

Impressive care to honesty. I prepaid my stay, paying various extras upon departure. I lost control what was prepaid, so i paid the bill as issued at the end of our stay. So it was impressive that the lady assistant guest manager (regretfully missed to remember her name) controlled the bill and rushed with the overpayment to catch us in the very last moment when we were already on the buggy to the parking. We have full trust in the hotel management and booked already our stay at Hotel InterContinental Koh Samui 2023. Thank you. B,

Excellent service, Thai hospitality at its best. Absolutely beautiful resort with breathtaking views, sunsets and lush gardens. The hotel grounds offer a perfect setting to relax and disconnect from the world. The rooms and swimming pools are lovely. The food needs to be improved. The beach is nice but not suitable for swimming due to foam and debris from the ocean.
