We stayed over for a wedding in Caledon. In comparison to other accommodation, poor value for money. No privacy in room/balcony. Chlildren in pool very disturbing. Wedding at Houhoek on Sat 7 Jan very noisy!

Pleasantly surprised. Position so close to pool is not relaxing and noisy. The public toilets should be Checked. An additional expense at breakfast of having a cappuccino should be served properly! It was not drinkable. So rather don't offer.

It was horrible, unorganized and unprofessional. Given directions to reception by a man at the booms with a mouth so full of food it was falling out his mouth, the BreaKfast was charged for even though it Said on email that it was included, there were no shower mats or shampoo. We didn't bother even trying the faculties, and just...

The Houw Hoek Hotel is an all time favourite and regulars look forward to a burst of new energy with new owners! Very conveniently located just off the N2 in terms of travelling from Cape Town (1.5 hours), the setting is beautiful, the new annex's rooms are well appointed and situated around the pool, the gardens are well maintained, the...

Our family of 7 persons had another superb New Years dinner dance at the Houw Hoek hotel. Thanks to the ever pleasant staff that are always on hand. Only criticisms were the long queue for breakfast and the lack of streamers for the midnight countdown which usually makes the evening and memories. Trust the new owners are not fiddling with...

Definitely missed a Bible in the room. Otherwise a great stay had. The big new price increase is disappointing- hope the management will have a review of this. Staff, meals, facilities and service excellent ! Hope we will be able to make this a regular destination. Please see first point- thank you.

We were a large-ish group of 6 couples, one teenager and a few day visitors; we stayed from the Friday afternoon until late Sunday morning at the beginning of August. The chill and occasional rains could have put a damper on the days but there was plenty of fireside space and other areas to catch up with each other indoors....

Upon arriving we were greeted by a receptionist who appeared more interested in fellow staff than us, her guests. We ordered lunch which was decent, waiter was very helpful. We ordered and paid for 2 cocktails to go, they would be sent to our room, but never arrived. The rooms are decent, though I fear the aircon undersized, and the...
