I have never stayed here but I have eaten a good few times. Really, really good food at great prices. Friendly staff in a nice, comfortable atmosphere. Definitely recommend stopping in here for a good meal

Often meet friends here for a catch up when I travel home. It has a cosy atmosphere with lovely couches as you walk in and an open fire. Staff are always friendly. The times I've gotten lunch it's been nice. They do a lovely Bailey's coffee also.

We stayed here to go to a gig in a nearby pub and found The Anglers to be a really nice place to stay. Very clean warm rooms. Good choice of breakfasts and we had an evening meal in the bar which was reasonably priced and very tasty. The owner was also kind enough to give us a lift to...

We had breakfast here this morning. Myself, my wife and our son. Good tasty food, good coffee and good service. The bill for three was €19.50. Vegetarian son was very happy with his fare and the carnivores got what the needed too. Great value.

Good and cheap little hotel to stay in on the way to Connemara. Stopped here instead of going all the way to the west coast late on a friday evening. Room was clean and breakfast next day wasnt bad either.

Four of us had lunch on August 11. We stopped on our trip from Cong to Galway. Great food and friendly service. Most of us had the very good mushroom soup with brown bread. One other had a garden salad. The soup was very good and the brown bread received a score of 8. We are self appointed judges as...

Stayed for one night, very basic, room was ok, although it could have been properly cleaned, found used soap in bath and a half eaten biscuit with the tea & coffee making facilities. Hotel is very run down and badly needs to be thoroughly cleaned and renovated from top to bottom. Ok for one night.... Staff are lovely tho.

It's a summer tradition of mine to stop at the Anglers Rest on the way back from Cong and have scones with jam and cream. I've also had meals there like the Seafood Platter, which was very enjoyable. On my most recent visit I went at lunch time for a pulled pork panini that had plenty of tasty filling and...
