We were in town a few nights for a family wedding and had an excellent stay at Screebe house! The views of the bay were magnificent. We greatly enjoyed the pool, beautiful grounds, and spacious rooms. The staff was excellent as well. Overall wonderful stay!

A truely unique experience, fantastic house, beautiful rooms, with the most comfortable beds. Damien the chef prepared a 5 course tasting menu which can only be described as... delicious, inventive and intriguing! Service and attention by Suzi, was so polite, professional and friendly. The love for her job and the appreciation of all the ingredients and preparation gone into the...

As beautiful a location as you will get, and some of the best food I have ever had - a multi course tasting menu served over the course of a leisurely hour and a half. The house is relatively small - only 10 bedrooms, two of which are in the annex that houses the pool/spa. Very clean and well mainined...

It was our 10th wedding anniversary so we wanted to do something special away from the kids. We had booked the Lodge at Ashford for 1 night and then we had Irish Times voucher for Screebe House. After a great night in Ashford we were unsure of what to expect next. We need not have been worried, Screebe is an...

After a long drive from Gallway we arrived in this charming luxurious small hotel. Hidden behind trees next to a lake and oh so typical Irish! On top of it we had five star food. Since the house is an old one freshly renovated we did hear the footsteps of the floor above us. Looking out the window with a...

What a gem. It seems that not many have heard of it yet. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. Henry instantly organised that we could see the GAA football final on a fine, discreetly hidden TV. There are noTVs in the rooms which might seem a disadvantage on the face of it but in fact the magnificence and...

We found this place by chance, and I am thankfull we did. I would give the location, the food (the dinner) and the sheets five stars, but I was a little unhappy with our room. The room was not in the main house, but rather above the spa. It had a single, unmade bed in it and you can hear...
