Annick and Nicholas have turned this B&B into a beautiful and very special place. They have been paying so much attention to details and created an atmosphere where you do feel at home right away. The rooms are very spacious and the beds are great. Breakfast is being served outside, weather permitting and there is plenty with the hosts being very attentive and asking whether there is anything else you need. We just felt like relaxing for two days and spent time in the garden and at the pool. Our dog was very happy as he could run freely in the wine fields behind the house where you can really walk for hours and not worry about traffic or bother anyone. Dog and dog owner’s heaven. Perfect location to spend a few days and use it as a base for the wine country or to see Bordeaux but also an excellent stopover on the way down South further into Spain. We will definitely return.

Charming, renovated property on a large domain with several cozy seating and reclining areas.
Tastefully furnished gite with an oh so blissful bed (gite Malbec).
Pampered every morning with a rich breakfast.
Unwind with a book by the heated pool with wide views.
Soak up culture, shop, eat well, enjoy nearby Bordeaux... a beautiful city.
And many other possible trips including 'La Route de le Corniche' and cities like Saintes, Bergerac, Saint-Emilion, Arcachon are worthwhile.

Our stay was incredibly disappointing. We had booked what we expected to be a beautiful experience which turned sour quite quickly. We arrived quite late due to many factors out of our control, yet we had warned them of our arrival time. Not only were unprepared for this situation, but the owner was rude and aggressive towards us due to us being late. Another guest, friend of the host, let us in and was guiding us to the room when the owner started screaming at us for being late, for which we apologised profusely. He wanted us to leave and physically came towards us while screaming, which was quite freighting (I’m a 1.5m woman and he a quite tall built man). Fortunately the man who had let us in was around to calm him down and let us stay. Regardless, we were startled and it ruined our whole night and experience. He was apologetic the next day but didn’t recognise his aggressive behaviour and kept complaining about our arrival. We had really looked forward to our stay there, which we hope to be a charming and relaxing end to our holidays, yet it turned out to be a terrible one. It’s really a shame because the place is indeed beautiful and the surroundings amazing. We do thank the friendly man who helped us in the evening and the hostess who was apologetic for her husband’s behaviour and quite nice the next day.

Wij zijn geschokt na het lezen van deze review. Dit is zo een verdraaid verhaal om enkel en alleen onze goede naam door het slijk te halen. Wij zijn fatsoenlijke mensen die een groot en warm hart hebben voor onze gasten en nooit of te nimmer op brute wijze met onze gasten omgaan. Het zou fijn zijn moest u het juiste vertellen. Wij zijn een kleinschalig en rustig verblijf. Wij hebben u gebeld om 19u om te vragen wanneer u zou toekomen. U zei toen al om 23u, wat laat is want de rust van onze andere gasten is ook belangrijk en wij vragen uitdrukkelijk om late aankomsturen op voorhand te verwittigen zodat we hiervan op de hoogte zijn. We melden reeds aan u dat dit best laat was. Wij zijn geen hotel met nachtservice maar we hebben u toch opgewacht tot ver na middernacht, nl tot 00h30. Zonder nog iets van u te horen hebben wij de deur van ons huis op slot gedaan om de veiligheid te garanderen voor onze andere gasten. Wat we altijd doen als we gaan slapen. Wij dachten dat u onderweg ergens anders was gaan slapen want het is niet gebruikelijk dat gasten na 23u inchecken. U had ook nog geen aanbetaling gemaakt voor de kamer. U bent toegekomen om 01h15 (nacht) en hebt onze deur geforceerd. Om dan onze andere gasten wakker te maken, die zo geschrokken waren van het autoritair gedrag van uw echtgenoot dat ze u maar binnenlieten. Wij zijn gekomen en hebben helemaal niet geschreeuwd of u aangeraakt. Wij zijn geen mensen die anderen intimideren of onaardig behandelen. U en uw echtgenoot hebben onze andere gasten flink doen schrikken om zo midden in de nacht een tirade af te steken. Ondanks dat er nog niets van een betaling was gedaan hebben we u toch laten slapen. De andere gast die bij ons was, heeft helemaal niet moeten "ingrijpen" zoals u dat zegt. Integendeel die was ook aangedaan van het hele gebeuren en vond jullie houding ook niet fijn. Dat we in de ochtend u net zo als andere gasten behandelen, beleefd en met veel respect, ondanks het gebrek aan respect van uw kant, is omdat we geen mensen zijn die slecht over mensen denken. Het is heel jammer dat u uw vakantie in "mineur" hebt afgesloten maar misschien voordat u mensen door het slijk haalt met aantijgingen (die best heel zwaar zijn) misschien eerst even kijken waar het fout liep bij uzelf. Namelijk dat u zomaar een huis binnendringt midden in de nacht en wij hebben zeer lang op u gewacht.... Wij wensen u in ieder geval het allerbeste toe en wensen u een fijne zomer. We stayed with our family of 7 adults in gite Cabernet and it was absolutely beautiful. A very friendly and hospitable welcome by Annick and Nicholas. Everything in tip top condition. The very large garden and swimming pool were also great! We had a very nice holiday at La Vigne D'Or! Definitely worth repeating! A big 10/10 for Annick and Nicholas!

Leuke rustige plek. Mooi zwembad. Alles heel erg proper en netjes. Vriendelijk koppel uitbaters. Ideale streek om je wijnkelder aan te vullen. Ook mooie bezienswaardigheden, Dune de Pilat. Domein is ook ideaal voor kinderen met speeltuin, minigolf, petanque en een koppel ezels in de wei.

Reeds de tweede maal bezochten we deze B&B….De uitbaters hebben van dit complex een pareltje gemaakt.De bedden zijn van een uitzonderlijke kwaliteit, het ontbijt is ( veel te) copieus, het zwembad is zeker groot genoeg en van hier heb je ook een mooi uitzicht op de omgeving.
De vriendelijkheid vqn de uitbaters is TOP! De omgeving nodigt je uit tot een bezoekje aan één of meerdere wijnkastelen…Nog wat plaats over hebben in je koffer is dus noodzakelijk😇🤭

Een oase van rust in een verrassend mooie streek. De B&B is erg verzorgd en stijlvol, de gebouwen zijn smaakvol gerenoveerd en met zin voor detail ingericht. Het zwembad is van jonge datum, relatief groot en ligt achteraan het terrein met een mooi zicht op de omgeving. Het ontbijt wordt à la carte geserveerd, bij mooi weer onder de bomen in de tuin.
