stopped here for coffee twice whilst staying in the area - Charlestown is a lovely village/port and as the weather was good - we had cappuccino in the garden on both days - staff were friendly and helpful

Booked here for a Christmas lunch for a party of 12. Booking was handled efficiently and I was able to make changes as numbers varied as with any larger group. Food was delicious and party was happy with the choice of venue and lunch choices too.

We stayed for three nights in a room overlooking the harbour. Staff were friendly and attentive, room was spotlessly maintained and the food was excellent. Charlestown is a fascinating little place and the Pier House Hotel is in the perfect position. The highlight of our stay was one of the tall ships slipping out of harbour - a sight unchanged...

Called in for a drink only. The wine list was ok actually. The plates of food I saw presented at table also seemed pretty stunning. But there was zero atmosphere in the place and I was glad I was not staying to eat. Kind of outdated in style in the bar anyway.

Discovered this place on our 2nd night of a weeks stay down in St Austell. When we go out for dinner its unusual for the kids to actually sit and eat their meal but here both them really enjoyed their cod bites and chips. We ended up returning another twice for dinner. The 3 meals I had were all very...

We visited this restaurant twice. Highly recommended is the seafood frenzy main course. This is the best mixed seafood dish we have tasted. The scallop starter was delicious. The pork belly was very tasty and was a good size as was the lamb. Plenty of vegetables and choice of potatoes with the main courses, however the sauteed potatoes were somewhat...

As a previous visitor to the Pier House I enjoyed it because of the views, the restaurant was nicely maintained with high quality cloths and napkins and the tables set out properly with wine glasses. There was also a great selection of food, a good atmosphere and excellent service. It was somewhere we would go for a special occasion. For...

My wife and I stayed here for three nights from 27th March 2017. We were in Room 4 which overlooks the harbour which was used in the latest Poldark series on the BBC. The room was spacious and the bathroom was on another level up some stairs. Both rooms were spotlessly maintained. The bed was very comfortable and there was...

We, my wife, daughter and I had our lunch stop here today, 20th Feb. The beer, cider and service was excellent. The lunch, a crab sandwich, chicken baguette and steak baguette was just perfect. Maybe a simple set of choices but delivered hot, the baguettes, and tasty. Well done to the team and thank you for making us feel so...

After having eaten in the bar and restaurant here on previous visits, it was time to actually stay so we booked with the hotel directly. On arrival, we were lucky enough to be able to park on the road which made it much easier to unload and therefore avoid the necessity of parking up the road. There are 2 posts...
