Love this B&B! Glad we rented a car so we could drive around the area. The old town is also around 15 mins by foot down the hill; there is a shortcut from the villa. We come here for the Alba Truffle festival. Michaela is very warm and helpful; she offered great recommendations on where to go and eat. She...

My husband and I have just returned from a fortnight's trip to Europe, staying at six different places in France, Switzerland and Italy. We chose Villa La Favorita because of its excellent reviews, and certainly in terms of the breakfasts offered, we understand just why people have been so positive. The bedroom we were allocated, Camera Oro, was decorated in...

Since this was our first time visiting Piemonte, we did a lot of research searching for a central "home base", to visit wineries for a few days. This place was perfectly located, on a panoramic hillside just outside the town of Alba. Villa La Favorita was as charming an old Italian home as you will find, with wonderful homemade breakfasts...

A lovely agritourismo with amazing breakfasts just 10 mins walk from the centre of the old town. Michela and Giovanna were so friendlly and welcoming and made us feel so at home. The bedroom was large, comfortable and quiet. Very very welcoming to motorbikes. Ensured our bike was safely stored to avoid the stormy evening weather. Will definitely return.

Michela and her team provided excellent service from arrival to departure, and our stay in Alba was lovely. This B&B has a beautifully landscaped property with plenty of outdoor seating for lounging, drinking wine, and enjoying the sun. The breakfasts were delicious and very filling (both savory and sweet dishes), so we left each morning ready for the long day...

Have wanted to visit Piemonte for many years and finally had the chance to spend part of our Italy vacation there. Alba seemed the logical place to stay and then the accidental brilliance happened -- we chose to stay a little outside of town at the lovely Villa La Favorita. This family run B&B has it's own vineyard, orchards and...

We stayed at Villa La Favorita for four days spending one night in one room and the other nights in one of the suites. When I searched for a place near Alba I wanted it to be attractive, convenient, have a warm, engaging staff, and be distinctive. Villa La Favorita does a great job on all points. The property is...

This B&B is located right outside of Alba. If the weather permits, you can easily walk to Alba. The B&B itself was adorable. The rooms were clean, spacious and the breakfast in the morning was great. The owner was very friendly and was always willing to help with suggestions. The only thing I would avoid is staying in the room...

Wonderful B&B in the outskirts of Alba in the heart of Piedmont wine country. Wonderfully restored house with modern beautifully decorated rooms and bathrooms. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful breakfasts. Roberta is extremely helpful in planning daily excursions and activities.

From the first moment it was extraordinary. When we drove through the gate and up the driveway, the beauty of the villa and the gardens took us by surprise. It is a shockingly beautiful place. We had seen the photos, but to take in the loveliness that strikes the eye at every turn is almost overwhelming. A hillside of grapevines...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Dating back to the early 1900's, it is officially recognized as a historic residence, and has been meticulously refurbished in recent years. Set amidst a 10,000 m² estate of vineyards and fruit orchards, it is located on a hillside just 1 1/2 kms outside Alba. The farm produces fine doc-status wines - Nebbiolo d'Alba and Grignolino Piemonte - which can be tasted free-of-charge, as well as a large variety of organically-grown fruit (cherries, apples, pears, apricots, plums, persimmons, figs, mulberries, peaches and pomegranates), some of which are used to make delicious jams. The villa's four highly original, en-suite bedrooms are tastefully furnished with period family pieces, and have satellite TV, air-conditioning, bath with shower and hair-dryer.Each "room with a view" brings guests into close contact with the hills. And the towers and roofs of ALBA's old town centre.Every morning a plentiful breakfast offering a wide choice is served outdoors in the large garden, on the terrace or in the bright lemon-house.Alba is a lively town, standing at the feet of the celebrated "Langhe" hills. It is famous for its mediaeval towers, "Via Maestra" (the main street, animated by plenty of shops and a busy Saturday morning market), and cultural and food & wine events. ... more   less
