The owners were lovely. Max in the restaurant was amazing. Always went out of his way.Rooms were clean all the time. Negatives would be the pool attached to the hotel opened at 10am and it was shut at 12.30 and didn't re open at 4pm by that time the sun had gone in. The best pool they shut which to me wasn't right. The beach and pool area was ok although you should have the right to choose where you want to sit on the beach and felt I was too far away from the sea and the amount of people who kept trying to sell you things was ridiculous.

Our third year running and have to say nothing is too much trouble for the staff here at Hotel Sporting. They are all so friendly and helpful especially travelling with young children. A great place for us to stay whilst visiting family in the region. Reason we keep coming back is for the pool, the beach, homestyle Italian food but most importantly the staff who make our stay comfortable.

We stayed at the Hotel Sporting in July 2012 for a week. When we made the reservation, we were very pleased of what the hotel has to offer for a convenient price: a well appointed room with individually controlled air conditioning which can fit two adults on a queen size bed with firm mattress and two kids on a comfortable bunk bed. Our room was in the Hotel Sporting Dependance, a modern building just one block inland from the beach. A spacious balcony allowed us to get a view of the Adriatic sea. The room has a free to use safe, a nice bathroom, a small tv. It's really no frills but it's clean and comfortable. The rate we paid included all meals (excluding beverages), use of the parking garage, and access to the beach with umbrella and two long chairs, swimming pool, playgrounds and entertainment. As I said, a good deal. The food was simple, traditional Italian and regional Abruzzo cooling, generally good. The service at the table was attentive, courteous and friendly. Our waiter, Valentino, was outstanding. We had a great time joking with him (we're native Italians). The whole staff was absolutely efficient and friendly all the time. The location had no rivals, just in front of the beach, so that you could walk down in swimsuit leaving everything else in the room. The beach was very clean, the only problem is that you get a lot of soliciting from various people trying to sell you anything, but this is the rule in any beach on the Adriatic. During the day, the hotel offers activities such as aqua zumba, kids playing, games. You can get involved if you want but they don't push you if you don't want to. The hotel in right on the boardwalk in proximity of shops, restaurants, gelaterias, etc. You can forget you have a car, unless you want to use it to explore the beautiful inland countryside. Overall, it was an excellent stay, and I would recommend it to anybody would like to spend a nice Italian beach vacation with his/her family.
