The hotel was not the easiest to find but the effort was well worthwhile. The setting is magnificent with breathtaking views over Arezzo at night. The staff were friendly and helpful and the pool and other amenities such as the bar were fine and almost private as we did not see any other guests after breakfast. Breakfast was typically Italian... More

When you are there for just a night you wish you could stay longer. The hotel has a pool outside with a stunning view over the valley where you can see Arezzo city. There was no restaurant at the time and it could have been a problem if we didn't have a car. I anyway suggest to have a car... More

We relied on TripAdvisor for this hotel and the reviews do not do this hotel proper justice. The building renovation, appointments and furnishings are superb, the service is genuinely warm and inviting and the staff are sensational. It can be tricky to find with a GPS but the trip is worth it. Do yourself a favour and book at this... More

Booked this after reading reviews which raved about the food at the restaurant. When I checked in, I was told that the restaurant was closed. Found out that the place have new owners...when I expressed my disappointment (I had also looked forward to a nice meal without driving afterwards) they offered to call in a chef. Dinner was served -... More

My wife, our two year old and I all spent a fantastic week in this scenic, relaxing and absolutely beautiful part of Tuscany. The hotel was fantastic and the staff were second to none. The only reason I don't give it a 5 rating is due to the fact that no lunch or dinner was served at the hotel. This... More

Spent a lovely family holiday in an idyllic location. The hotel is hotel is approximately 7km from the city of Arezzo, so a car is useful to get around. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the hotel had a very relaxed feel. Our 12 year old daughter loved the large swimming pool, while we enjoyed the stunning views... More

This property and its owners/employees are second to none. We enjoyed our time here immensely and would not hesitate to return if the opportunity presents itself. Beautiful property with spectacular views of Arrezo from high. Our only regret was not spending more time enjoying the facilities, pool, etc. Meals were awesome as was the staff!!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel on our recent trip to Tuscany. We were thoroughly impressed by the location, the hotel and the staff. The accommodations are great although it is really the grounds, the restaurant and the friendly staff that separate this place from others.

What a lovely little hotel. Very nice family italian service. It's an old 17th century monastery with lots of stone, big beams etc. Eating in the vaulted cellar was outstanding, and the food very good. A very beautiful hotel, with good service, and probably one of the best cappuccinos I've ever had at breakfast. Well recommended.

The staff are excellent, friendly, helpful and efficient. The restaurant is very good. The location is beautiful and tranquil, with wonderful views over Arezzo and the surrounding countryside from the pool. We loved the building itself, simple and historical. The meadows around the hotel are full of butterflies in summer. We did not have a car and Valentina's shuttle bus... More

Badia Di Pomaio was founded in 1645 as a religious home and place of spiritual retreat. In the 2000s, a careful restoration has transformed this place into receptive structure with restaurant, respecting what were historic architectural features. Our restaurant is a representation of the typical Casentino Aretine and bringing to light the ancient methods, trying not to upset the old values of Tuscan cuisine, enhancing the authenticity and flavors of local products.
