I was very positively surprised with Sottovento. Most importantly staff were super friendly and helpful. Hotel is very recently renovated, it is very stylish and has high quality furnishings. restaurants and shops are just outside the hotel, whereas skiing is just a few minutes drive away (hotel provides complimentary shuttle every time its needed). Bormio was a very positive surprise...

If you are in Bormio to ride the Stelvio pass then this is the place to stay! The Sotto Vento is an Alpine styled building set on a quiet road just off the main street. It is new, very clean and the rooms are warm and well appointed. The breakfast room was very nice, the food good and there was...

As part of a tour around Italy, we just had to go and drive the Stelvio Pass.....! - We hadn't planned to do this in advance, and we booked the Sottovento over the internet on the day before arrival. We travelled up from Lake Garda via one of the most narrow frightening roads I've ever driven, at night, in cloud...

We stayed four nights in a top floor junior suite with superb view over the town to the Bormio ski center and mountain range. The hotel is new and of very contemporary design in alpine style. Everything works perfectly and the rooms and other facilities are flawless. Not forgetting the most attentive staff who are an example of excellent customer...

From start to finish this place is out of this world. We had a suite and asked for an extra bed for our son which they only set up in the evening while we were out. The staff were very attentive but not overbearing. The spa is only open from the afternoon but the staff opened it especially for us...

the most lovely hotel we've stayed in. delightful high spec suite, gorgeous breakfast, great coffee and cake shop. Nothing was too much trouble for our attentive, friendly hosts who have paid every attention to detail to create a charming relaxed atmosphere. Couldn't have been more perfect for our cycling holiday to take in the Gran Fondo Stelvio Santini sportive including...

My expectations have been more than confirmed: the hotel is in a very good location near the city centre. Free garage for the car (every room has one place in the garage, never seen!!), rooms don't have a number but a name, like Margherita, Anice, soo lovely! The room, or better the suite, is wonderful: wood and stone from the...

From the outside this hotel does not appear to be anything special but the interior and the service is superb. The spacious rooms are equipped with every luxury. The spa is spotless and beautifully presented. The staff could not be more helpful. The wifi works! The position is convenient and there is parking. The on site cake shop is a...

I spent the Christmas holiday at Sotto Vento with a girlfriend and her 11 year-old son; but Sotto Vento would be perfect for a romantic stay as well. The property was really fabulous...very sleek but also warm, welcoming, and comfortable, and our suite was a good value for the money. The location was perfect, and the spa was lovely. Most...
