Extremely comfortable hotel. Arrived after rather exhausting motorbike ride to pleasant welcome. Nothing was a problem throughout our stay. Comfortable, clean rooms. Quality breakfast each morning and delicious meals provided at night (all with a smile). I requested laundry service with only limited time for return and this was not a problem, it was delivered to our room. Other places could learn from their warm, but professional customer service approach.

Location: a 10min walk from the Belvedere lift. 10min walk from bars / restaurants. Spa: this is in two separate sections. Children aren't allowed in the sauna / steam / chill area - it was such a nice relaxing atmosphere after a hard day on the slopes. It had a good variety of saunas, showers and relaxation rooms. We went in the Jacuzzi once but it was cool. Dining: we were half board. The dining room décor is outdated, as others have said, but it didn't spoil our outstanding dining experience. Breakfast was excellent - everything you could want and good coffee / hot chocolate. It does, however, need to be served half an hour earlier to be able to make the Belvedere lift before hitting HUGE queues. Dinner was also fantastic - so many delicious choices and all so

Dear Mr and Mrs , thank you very much for your review. We are happy to hear that everything was fine and you liked our hotel, spa, food etc. We pay much attention to our guests' special requests and we are happy you appreciated it. I'm sorry about the queues - of course, if you book the highest season week of the whole winter, you can experience this. Our hotel was fully booked, in Italy it was "carnevale" week so all families were on holiday. I'm just wandering about what you say about me taking our bus at 8.00 and leaving without waiting for you (why would we do such a thing?!?!?!). I actually live out of the hotel and start working at 9 so I wasn't even there (and I never took our bus at all because I don't even ski). Our bus driver Aurelio takes the bus before 8.30 to go buying newspapaers for our guests and starts driving to the lifts at 8.20-25 (since the lifts starts at 8.30). Nobody ever complained about the starting time but if you just asked, we could have left a bit earlier. Asking is always worth it. I'm sorry you're not happy about me and my family at the reception - I actually don't remember you coming to the reception asking something so I never had the possibility to talk to you. My family and I stay at the desk from 7 to 24 - we greet every single person that comes by. We don't stop people to chat but if someone comes to us we are always happy to help/advise (I'm not so interested in my computer, I simply sit at the desk and work). We hope to have you as guests in the future, maybe not in the school holiday week, so you can enjoy our hotel and skiing at best. Best regards Linda, Family Debertol and Hotel Astoria Staff

Stayed here for a week at the start of February for skiing in the Val Di Fassa/Sella Ronda area in a package arranged by 'Crystal Ski'. I've stayed in Canazei before so knew the layout of the village & chose based on location as well as previous reports from Trip Advisor. Our room was of the standard size for many hotel rooms (and same as others I'd stayed at in Italian ski resorts) with en suite, balcony. The room fittings were as expected for this class hotel very well appointed, especially the pillows which were so soft, they were the sign of a carefully hand selected owner! Room cleaning was superb and a 'turn down' service every evening was perfect and very discrete. The surrounds are quite with no noisey bars nor busy road noise. It's location was good for the 'Pecol'

Decent location in a cute ski town. Rooms and furnishings are severely outdated. Tacky wall paper is peeling off of the walls and the common areas are not warm, comfortable or interesting in any way. The basement sauna is a redeeming factor although the hours are severely limited and the hot tub is cold. The staff has either no helpful information or no desire to be helpful in regard to the local area. After asking multiple times for a copy of the bus schedule I sold a ticket for a bus that was not running and went to a neighboring hotel for a printed scheduled and correct information. Fortunately the ticket was refunded when I asked; however no apology was offered and I wasted an entire morning in the cold waiting at the stop. We allowed a friend to sleep on our sofa and after

Dear Mrs Joanna Stonestreet, we were waiting for your review :-) :-). All this bad words just because you were hiding the third person in Your double room and did not want to pay for him. We had to come to ask for passport and legar registration of your friend at 11 in the night after you asked the cleaning staff for bed sheets and towels and to not tell the reception about it!!! I don't think I need to replay to all other lies.. as you see, we have 93% good reviews. Also... the waiters could notice you ate all your dinner (entrée, main course, dessert).. was it so bad? Maybe the problem is you didn't want to pay for it. Just to make clear the fact about your sport suit... who would ever steal JUST the top part of a bathing suit?!?!?! And, after we found your friend's credit cart in the trash bin (and give it back to him)... I think you will maybe find your bath suit in you luggage... Nice try booking with an invalid credit card online and then arguing about the bill, trying no to pay it. Thanks god your friend paid for you. Best Regards,

Stayed for a week with my wife and Bed & Breakfast arrangement in a double room facing the back (not a great view from the balcony). Just a lovely hotel with great service. We only had dinner at the hotel one night, since we preferred to pick our own restaurants. Breakfast was great and kept us going in the slopes well until 14.00 when we could have a late lunch. One of the days was my wife's birthday - the reception arranged for a wonderful bouquet of flowers at the breakfast table and also recommended a restaurant in a nearby village for a little fancier dinner. The spa area was also top notch, must have been very recently built - super fresh and relaxing. The ski slopes were also great - we had plenty of snow and sun and enjoyed the mostly red pistes. Three

We had the great pleasure of staying in this wonderful hotel during the february half term 2014. On arrival we were greeted by a hotel porter who sorted out all of our luggage whilst we checked in at reception. as a result our luggage was in our room when we arrived. It was a lovely room, both spacious and well furnished. However it was at the back of the hotel and the rooms here look out at another hotel before looking at the mountains. My wife was a little disappointed with this and asked if we could change. Regretably all rooms were taken but the young man on reception promised to look into it for us. The following morning after an excellent breakfast he called us over to say that he had found another room and did we want to view it. We did and it was perfect. It was in the

We are a family of four from the UK and have just returned from a great week of skiing in the Dolomites, staying at the Astoria Hotel in Canazei. this hotel is family run,and that makes the difference I feel. The staff are courteous, work hard to please, and are very attentive. The facilities are very good:- a good- sized pool big enough to do laps, and a superb spa area with sauna, steam room, foot spa, music room for relaxation, and jacuzzi .The food in the evenings is first- rate and too much ! We reduced the courses we took very quickly after we arrived as it is difficult to get through it all every evening! The restaurant has an extensive bar and the drinks/ wine is not expensive. There is a courtesy bus from the hotel to the gondola, but it is only a ten minute walk and we

We took half-board. The rooms were very comfortable, the spa was superb, pool, jacuzzi, steam bath and saunas, really got rid of the aches. The treatments were also very good and performed by a well qualified and attentive staff. The food was good and varied, the pasta dish being home-made was really good every evening. Without any overt presence, the family who own and run the hotel managed to maintain a friendly, helpful and efficient staff. We will be going again.

Well appointed hotel, friendly helpful staff and located in a great location for skiing the Sella Ronda circuit. We plan on coming back in the summer to walk the Dolomites. Hotel run minibus always seemed to be waiting just for us, whisked us up to the lift station in 2 minutes (you can walk it in 10 minuts but why bother!) and was waiting for us again at the end of the day. Food excellent, skiers afternon buffet waiting on our return but don't eat too much or you won't be able to do justice to the multi course dinner! Comfortable lounge area with fabulous log fire, pool and sauna we didn't try but looked good. Snow was very good, scenery stunning, possibly the best skiing holiday in over 30 years.

Had a fairly last minute ski holiday here, booked via Crystal. Travelled with hubby and five year old daughter. This is a family run hotel well situated a couple of minutes from the centre of Canazei. The ski bus stops right outside and the hotel also puts on a minibus to and from the Belvedere gondola at the start and end of each day. There is a ski and boot room in the basement so no need to rent a locker elsewhere. Breakfast was buffet style, a fairly extensive range of cereals, breads, scrambled egg and hot and cold meats, cheeses.... The evening meal is a four course extravaganza with lots of local specialities on the menu - served from 7pm each evening which was a bit late for my exhausted daughter. The food was varied but maybe a bit too diverse for some palates

Dear Lauren W, thank you very much for your beautiful review! We are very happy to hear that you loved your stay at our hotel. Regarding the temperature in the swimming pool: the temperature is 29.9 degrees so it shold not be felt like cold - maybe you fist got into the jacuzzi (which has a very high temperature - 38 degrees) or the kids pool (which is about 35 degrees) and so felt the difference between them. We are sorry that you did not like the room - you actually got the last room available which wasn't the best choice for a family. If you'll visit us again we will book for you one of our family rooms or suites, you will sure enjoy them. We hope to have you once more as our dear guest Best regards Linda, Family Debertol and Staff Hotel Astoria
