This hotel is superbly located in the medieval town, with fantastic views from the rooms (& terrace restaurant) over Lago Trasimeno. If you want to experience Italy's fourth largest lake without all the expense, bustle & hype of the three northern neighbours, this is the place to be.

This place has an amazing view Lake Trasimeno, which is the fourth largest lake in Italy. We got there the night before our running competition, and Sabrina, Marta, Sandra, Giacomo, and the others( I don't remember their names, sorry) were extremely helpful. When we arrived it was late night, and their restaurant was closing soon, however, they gave us the...

After a very disappointing start to our trip to ITALY we travelled from AREZZO to CASTIGLIONE DEL LAGO and immediately upon arrival in town we noticed this brightly coloured building which included the hotel AGANOOR, the restaurant LA CANTINA and the restaurant's shop. The personnel was extremely helpful and rooms were secured within minutes of our visit. Our special thanks...

The hotel is located in the main street of the historical center. Since all the rooms are on the second floor, this is really quiet and you do not hear the noise from the street. No lift but in such a lovely building, that would not do. Isolation between rooms is a bit light, but as it is the case...

Convenient location, in Main Street. Helpful staff, room up a few flights of stairs and no lift but not a problem for us! Good sized room with good wifi. Restaurant at hotel was excellent value and great atmosphere, and breakfasts were really good. Would recommend. Should add that you can park outside the walls of the city, which is only...

Incredibly friendly staff and beautiful hotel within old city walls. Hotel is a refurbished 16th century palazzo, looking over the lake (magnificent views). Downside is that there's no elevator. Rooms have a bit of medieval character and redecoration is done with good taste. Excellent breakfast, with fresh fruits, yoghurt, cheeses, pastries and so on. You can have dinner at the...

To say Hotel (Albergo) Aganoor is a hidden Umbrian gem -- is an understatement. Nestled on the Western high shore of Lake Trasimeno, in the township of Castiglione Del Lago, this place offers not only a welcome to the passing-through businessmen or tourists, but also serves as the ‘base-camp’ for people who plan to experience and explore the best sites...

We stayed in this hotel just for one night which is a shame. Hotel was located just in the city centre. Room was spacious, tidy and the view was fanstatic!!! We went to hotel's restaurant for a dinner (you have to book a table in advance because it is always fully booked). Dinner was fantastic, food was very tasty and...

We stayed for two nights last week, and the hotel was wonderful. Clean, comfortable and the view from our window was amazing!!!! The rooftop terrace has amazing views over the lake and the town. The staff, who you have to look for in the neighbouring cantina are absolutely lovely. English is spoken, and the staff also helped when I tried...

Stayed one night in a room with a view of the lake. Comfortable and spacious room - had a double and one single bed - and a pretty painted wardrobe. Had a delicious lunch in the restaurant, with a discount because we were staying at the hotel - although we didn't realise you could only use the discount coupon once...
