A beautiful, meticulously restored abbey in spectacular grounds. A wonderful, warm country house atmosphere, with exceptional dining, and friendly, welcoming staff. The owner is an extraordinarily nice person and congenial host, whose family has a long history of running country house hotels in England. Our room looked out on expansive lawns, gardens, and a stream with a pond full of...

Incredible 5 Star Resort in the middle of France's Burgundy Wine Region. Stunning turn of the century accommodations and incredible wine cellar. This is a high end resort, it is expensive but worth the trip. They have a very nice restaurant as well if you are passing through.

This hotel and grounds are beautiful. It sits in the beautiful Burgundy countryside close to the Burgundy Canal. It is easy to make a day trip to taste wine along the wine trail from Dijon to Beaune. We had dinner after Kier on the lawn. The food and service were spectacular. We had a group of 20 for dinner, but...

Our second leg of our France trip took us to this beautiful castle full of history. It was our base for exploring Burgundy. Enjoyed the grounds, "rustic" accommodations and great service. The Restaurant 1131 served excellent food. The staff was warm and accommodating. Highly recommend this beautiful place.

Abbaye de la Bussiere is an extraordinary luxury destination resort on 18 gorgeous acres of manicured grounds just 30 minutes from Beaune in the heart of Burgundy. This fabulous Relais & Chateaux property is an immaculately restored 12th century Cisterian Monastery with a Michelin starred restaurant, Le 1131, named for the year the monastery was founded, under the sterling direction...

Hotel and restaurant looked fantastic on Internet and setting and historic buildings were equally impressive when we arrived. Restaurant was great - excellent meal and service. Then it all went wrong. We had asked for feather free bed linen before we arrived and we were reassured that room was feather free at check-in. When we got back to the room...

Returned again almost a year to the day from our last visit. The property is special and it a place that both my wife and I really enjoy coming back to. It is just so unique, and really is one of a kind. The place isn't a hotel, it isn't just about the perfect service or meal, nor is it...

The Abbaye between Beaune and Dijon, is 'worth a detour' to this spectacular property for the class of the Hotel and grounds, and above all for the incredible food. We came for a special 25th Silver Anniversary and were treated to some of the best food we have ever had, all with local products treated with care and ingenuity by...

Top Location , service , Ambiente The service in the lounge bar and the restaurant was perfect . The quality also great. In total a Great experience. The price is expensive but it worth for a special dinner or night I would only wish a bit of music in the restaurant . Some classical music not loud but it would...

This is only a review of the restaurant. My wife and I were on a barge cruise, and the cruise line selected the restaurant at the Abbaye for one of the dinners, based upon past experience and guest feedback. It was an excellent choice. One of the couples on the barge cruise was, in fact, planning to stay at the...
