The hotel is across the street from the train station. It is within easy walking distance of the downtown area, but it is about a mile from the beach. The hotel staff were friendly, though they did not speak English and our Italian was poor. The room was basic and clean. No WiFi or breakfast. Price is reasonable, 60 Euro...

The hotel has a very nice location, it is very close to the railway and bus station. It doesn't take too long to go to the beach or to the city center. The room was clean, no fancy furniture. If you stay there for couple of nights, I would recommend it.

We stayed for one night, which was enough. The hotel is in a good location for walking up the hill to the old town in the evening for dinner-- a must do. Also, you could easily walk down many steps to the main section of town via narrow streets. The room was clean, and the bath was cramped.

We were two days in Formia and this hotel was the first one we have seen after arriving. The stuff was kind and they spoke good English. The cleaners were also very kind. Our room was average but wifi was missing.

We really liked this hotel. Right opposite the station, and there is a free bus down the hill to the waterfront bus terminal. Our room was large, and beautifully clean with its own bathroom, and cleaned daily. We ended up staying ten nights, it was so convenient, and the reception staff were great and very helpful. We were told of...

Hotel del golfo is the perfect hotel if you need to overnight in Formia at a rather budget price or if you are directed to Ponza the day after. The hotel is located close to the central station and offers decent room at a decent price. Nothing very fancy but the rooms are clean, well equipped and quite and the...

the hotel is located right by the train station, which is convenient. It is also close to town...5 minute walk. We stayed just 1 night because we missed the boat to Ponza. The room was clean, had air conditionning and the bed was fine .The owner is very nice and happy to give any info about the town, ferries, restaurants etc......

It is obvious that this hotel is of minimum expectations. The bed mattresses are too old and you can actually feel the springs. No breakfast available (thank god you can find something to eat at the train station across the road). The worse part: worn off towels with holes. I hate when this happens! How difficult and expensive is it...

Okay - not a five star and lacking in so many ways. But if you want to be close to either the train station or ferries, this would be a good choice. It's on the cheaper side of things, no amenities and anything that stands out. But for our purposes, it was a good compromise. At least the staff was...

“No noise from the train station - mind you our view was facing away from there. Location-wise from the station, it doesn't get any better than this place. Short walk to the pier, restaurants and ferries.”
