just returned from la palme hotel, lovely location about 10 minute walk from the lake and all the restaurants, the hotel was a little basic and could have done with a few improvements like having the concrete under the balconys painted,it reminded us of somewhere agatha christi would have stayed,it could have done with some soft cushions on the sunloungers so take... Just returned from 11 day stay at this more than adequate hotel.Great value for money, spotlessly clean, food good and plenty of choice. Garda itself a really good choice of resort and ideally situated to explore the delights of lake garda. Went with First Choice and could,nt fault their attention to detail. Rory the rep is a star, anyone going... More

There was me, my boyfriend, my mother-in-law, brother-in-law and 6 year old sister-in-law (so a very random assortment really) Im a subathing by the pool kinda person and my mother-in-law is most definitely not! lol but i would say that Garda itself is perfect for that kind of mix. We stayed here for a week with 3 teenagers. Didn't get adjacent rooms requested. First impression was uncertain- it really needs a lick of paint and some new furniture and tiles. However, as a base for exploring the area, central for the lake and town, swimming pool etc and basic filling food- it was fine. The rooms are a reasonable... More

Just got back from a fantastic holiday in Garda. Booked this hotel with first choice due to it's location and value for money, we were a bit concerned at reading some of the reviews prior to arrving but believe you get what you pay for. We booked a budget hotel to allow plenty of spending money for the holiday and... More

The hotel was clean , maids every day, and rooms were quite nicely furnished. The restaurant staff were extremly helpful and the food was fantastic being very authentically italian with first course a... More

We travelled in July 2011 with a 17 month old. The hotel staff are friendly but the building itself is quite tired - mould in bathroom, very noisy bed whenever you moved and gardens a bit rustic! My main problem was the restaurant where we were provided with a 'highchair'. This really was a chair that was high and with... More

Staff were efficient and the food was very good. Rooms were large but a bit dated, but who spends all there time in a room when you are... More

Like others i was worried about our stay following several poor reviews on this website. These were totally unfounded. The food was fine, waiters and staff were always friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean if a little dated but did the job perfectly well. Rory was fab and had a good attention to detail. We would definitely return to this hotel... More
