we have recently come back from Malcesine and have had a fantastic holiday staying at the Excelsior Bay Hotel. The rooms were very good, the food was excellent and the staff were extra helpful. The area is of outstanding beauty and the people in the area are welcoming.

My family and I returned last night from a weeks stay at Hotel Excelsior Bay and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute! The hotel is situated right on the lake and we were able to enjoy breakfast and dinner overlooking the water, boats and mountains. The staff were incredibly helpful and could not do enough to make our stay a pleasurable...

My wife and I returned from Excelsior Bay a week ago and, whilst the weather was disappointing, we liked the hotel. The food may not have been exciting but was consistently good. The staff were all excellent. Our room was typically Italian...plain, but clean and comfortable. Our only complaint was the "narrow high window" which afforded us absolutely no view....

Just returned from a stay at this hotel. The weather was unusually very poor with temperatures as low as 11 to 15 degrees. The hotel refused to put on the heating and I amongst others were compelled to huddle under blankets in temperatures below that of the UK. Teeth chattering it came to dinner time - what a disappointment! This...

This Hotel was in an excellent position overlooking the lake- a short walk into the centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent - we ate at the Hotel every night whereas normally, we find half board becomes rather boring and we spend extra money to eat out. In fact, after all...

We have just got back from a week at the Excelsior Bay Hotel the room was disappointing as we were below the pool level which meant that the only window in the room was above head height. This is the only negative point about the hotel, it was also very clean, the food was of a high standard and staff...

I arrived back 2 days ago after a stay at the Excelsior Bay. Fantastic experience. After booking the holiday I was worried as to type of room I would be given. The only other solo review was not so good but I was given a room on second floor with twin single beds, walk in wardrobe with interior light and...

Let me caveat any criticism by saying our travel providers probably messed up sending us to this hotel. We are late twenties and doing a tour of Italy for our honeymoon and spending three nights in Lake Garda on an early part of the trip this seemed a good option from the brochures. Yes the rooms are clean, some good...

We had our wedding reception here a couple of years ago. The food was amazing and we are still talking about it now - especially the black mash and the apple vodka sorbet! Perfect location and perfect food
