A very well situated hotel with nice and clean rooms. The garden and the pool where nice and clean as well and with a lovely view of the mountains on the other side of Lago di Garda. Good breakfast. Very friendly and service oriented staff that also speaks German and English. We stayed for a week.

We had a wonderful week in very comfortable surroundings. The hotel is in a terrific position to explore Malcesine but to also explore further afield along the lake. 5 to 10 minutes walk takes you to the ferry stop for the North of the lake tour. Room was very clean and comfortable and the cleaner was lovely. Swimming pool a...

We enjoyed our stay one week stay - a family of four with two kids under 10. The centre of town is just a short walk away, and the beach is just beyond that - you can access everything Malcesine has to offer on foot from this Hotel. There is ample parking in shaded spots and a shaded garden in...

Just returned from Hotel Ideal from a 7 day break. I rate the score a 4 - but this is in relation to the cost and I guess my experience for the seven day stay. In terms of facilities and furnishings, it is a 3 star (2 in UK) hotel, I enjoyed my stay, and I am rating this opposed...

Chose this hotel because it has a large pool, aircon and lake view at very reasonable rates and decent reviews. Not disappointed in most aspects. Pros. So clean and sparkling throughout and lots of art deco style stained glass in lobby area. Very comfortable patio area at front and two gardens with lots of shady areas and some outdoor equip...

The Hotel Ideal is in a great location, just a short stroll to the beautiful town of Malcesine....The large pool is very spacious with amazing view's of the town...... It is a family run hotel and is ideal......., One of the family members is a character and you have to adjust to his sense of humour. We have stayed here...

Loved stay in Malcesine. Main area was 5 minutes walk down hill from hotel. Great pool to relax in. Staff were great and really helpful and rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels. Continental breakfast every morning. The hotel has a bar downstairs but no adjoining restaurant however loads of places to eat within minutes walk. Takes about hour...

My in-laws have been coming to the same hotel in the same part of Italy for many years now and after joining them I can understand why. I have now stayed at the Hotel Ideal on three occasions and enjoyed every minute of it. For those who want to enjoy a foreign country without the pampering you would expect in...
