Stayed in Laguna dei Fenici in October while kitesurfing and had a truly lovely stay. The B&B exceeded my expectations with how clean and taken care of the rooms and grounds were, the bed was incredibly comfortable (we stayed in Ponente), the views from the shared terrace absolutely beautiful, the breakfast everyday was delicious and local - most importantly the owners and staff were incredibly kind and thoughtful. Thank you for a lovely stay!

This B&B needs no introduction, everything about our 3 nights at this amazing B&B was perfect from start to finish. We were touring the north west part of Sicily and the Laguna dei Fenici was by far the best value for money accomodation during our travels. The breakfast served in the beautiful manicured gardens overlooking the lagoon was outstanding with lots of homemade cakes, pastries, fresh fruit and freshly brewed coffee. The rooms were modern and spacious with A.C. and modern bathroom,i reccomend the Scirocco room,a big thank you to the host Aila and Alfredo for making our stay a pleasure !!!

I traveled to Sicily with a couple of friends to discover the area (and the exquisite food) and go kitesurfing on windy days. The week we spent in Laguna dei Fenici was perfect. The rooms are nice, well equiped (with air conditioning, which is really useful during the summer) and are always kept tidy. The hosts are adorable and will do everything they can to make your stay as agreable as possible. The breakfasts are always a great moment on the terrace, with different local specialties: fruits, marmelades and pastries. I loved the place so much that I am going back at the end of this summer with my entire family!

We just stayed a rainy Monday as we had a very early flight out to Pantelleria Island from of the close-by airport. We arrived early as we had only just drove through Trapani bc of hard rain. No restaurant open close-by so we headed out 15km for a nice culinary surprise for lunch.

Room was small, a bit cramped, but what to expect it was really not expensive.
Location was amazing, overlooking the sea with all the kite-surfers.

At dinner time we were so lucky to have some emergency food so we headed to the kitchen where we saw a German young couple with a very young baby.
They explained that the owner after a bad experience had recently decided that guests were not allowed to use the kitchen and had taken away all cooking stuff (!!). A sign about the non-use was on the door (nowhere online). I read in another review the big plus was their "well-equipped kitchen", which I totally understand with all the kite-surfers staying in this area.

The German couple had a very rough time at Laguna dei Fenici. The day before (Sunday) restaurants only opened at 19:30 which was far past baby sleeping time. Despite all of this and them having booked for almost 2 weeks they were not helped at all to feed themselves or their baby. We were lucky the couple borrowed us their single pot so we could eat this evening some emergency noodles we had and what was taken away from the excellent lunch we had.

As we left the Laguna very early, we did not have breakfast. Nor did we see much of the owner. Obviously, it was low season. All in all this was a place I would probably never stay again just because of the refusal to help a couple feed their baby. Not nice...

Pro's:
- great location, great view.
- not expensive.

Con's:
- non-use of kitchen.
- cramped room.
- very remote, not much seems open close-by on a Monday in May.

Dear guest, It's not fair, I think, to write such a bad review based on someone else's experience. In fact what you're writing is not correct: we allow the use of the kitchen for quick lunches/dinners like salads or sandwiches or take away food. Guests can surely use the fridge to keep their drinks, fruits etc. Guests cannot cook but the only exception is for little kids. The couple you're referring to did use the kitchen for the child for the whole time during their stay. They cooked for him, they brought take away food ( because you can buy food in the nearby) and they also used the barbecue for cooking their meals. They also went to the restaurants because there are many restaurants in the nearby and even on a monday it is possible to find open restaurants and have dinner. So I can assure you they never risked to starve to death! More important, they never wrote a review and they never complained because they knew we did our best to meet their needs in more than one way and more than one time. So now you can see that you're totally wrong! You had the wrong impression like we're not caring people but that's not true! If you would have stayed longer you would have know it's quite the opposite! We recently introduced ( and that's why you couldn't find anything about the kitchen's rules on-line) new rules about the use of the kitchen in order to guarantee a nice stay to everyone: the ones who likes the convenience of a kitchen and the ones who doesn't like the smell of garlic and food all over the house and in their own room and especially the caos of a kitchen where many people cook at all time. We're trying to meet everyone needs because we're caring people and that probably means we can't say "yes" to everyone. So in the end you wrote a bad review ( a real damage for us because we work hard every day !! ) for no reason!!

No doubt, our Bed & Breakfast resort “Laguna dei Fenici” is the place we could return to every summer.
Indeed my husband and I came for a third time to find authentic Mediterranean life and yet not be bothered by crowded beaches.
Aila and Alfredo are perfect hosts who care a lot about their guests and the extraordinary surroundings.
If you want a room from which you can have a glance onto the sea directly from your bed, ask for the room “Ponente”.

My husband and I were looking for a place to stay from which we could explore the archaeological history of the Marsala and Mozia area. The Laguna dei Fenici was perfect. The rooms were quiet and clean and the hosts were charming and always helpful. The breakfasts were generous, keeping us fuelled for a day of exploring. One of the nice aspects of the house is that there is a well-equipped kitchen that is shared with other guests where one can prepare snacks or meals.
The only down side were the mosquitoes (not surprising in a laguna setting) as the bedrooms had no screens. Be prepared.

One of the most beautiful view you can ever dream of. A B&B located in front of the Stagnone lagoon, when the sun set looks like fire. The family running the B&B is delightful. Steve and I loved it. The breakfast!!!!! Everyone talk about breakfast. Own made and you can feed an army with what they bring you for two. Just overwhelming how nice the all experience was. Hugs guys from London. This B & B was chosen because of its close proximity to Trapani Airport. The surprise for us was the beautiful setting. We could have easily spent more time enjoying the hospitality and well appointed facilities while discovering what the area had to offer. Definitely value for money.

A wonderful bed and breakfast with caring owners. This B&B is RIGHT on the water in a quiet little (almost non-existent) town. From our bed we could see the lagoon. There's a nice deck and funky plant-filled yard outside, and the ocean is directly across the street. Our room was big and comfortable. The bathroom was updated, with an amazing shower (rain feel), towel heater, plenty of light and counter space and a hair dryer. We were very happy and comfortable here. The owners gave great restaurant recommendations (make sure to visit Cothons) and were warm and welcoming. There was a small mistake made with payment, and she was very apologetic and even gave us a bottle of wine for our troubles. The breakfast was to die for- sweet, savory, cappuccino and espresso to order, fresh fruit....delicious. This is a mecca for wind and kite surfers, but there isn't much to do in the way of a town. That's what we were looking for. We visited Erice as an easy half day trip from here and spent the evening walking along the salt pans near Marsala. We visited in March and I think the area would be even more beautiful a few weeks later once everything started to bloom.

To say the view here is pretty is a major understatement. The patio is a little bit of heaven and weather permitting, you will be able to have breakfast here and just relax as well. Laguna dei Fenici is well located for visiting lovely Marsala, Trapani, Erice and Segesta. Our rooms were a bit small for a 5-night stay, but clean and comfortable. NO SMOKE SMELL, which is very important for me and my allergies. We had two rooms nearly identical to one another, but I think the other rooms were larger and I would request that next time.

The owners, husband and wife, were very nice and together with the woman who worked there, made sure we received a breakfast that was vegetarian friendly! And there was a LARGE breakfast. One evening, we were tired after a day out, so we stopped at a local market and brought home food and wine, which we were able to enjoy in the kitchen. We borrowed the kayak twice for trips to an island with ruins and just for looking around the lagoon. Parking was fine, in a small lot just outside the gate. Wifi was okay, but in and out for us.

I have travelled a lot and this was our third time in Sicily. But I have never been hugged and kissed by the staff as we left! This was a very special place.
