This was a last minute booking, desperate as we were to find somewhere/ANYWHERE near Sorrento and the coast which offered free parking.Turned out, we added an extra night as it was such an enjoyable hotel to stay in. The hotel sits on the main road to Massa Lubrense itself, an attractive large village about two miles away. Good Tourist Info off ice here too.The area of Massa Lubrense is rural, olive and lemon groves, a world away from the urban feel of nearby Sorrento. Lovely, bright room with a pretty balcony overlooking the sea and Capri…you could never get fed up with that view and sunset! And the stars at night! Beautiful. I hate road noise and was concerned that the hotel was right on the local provincial road but we were out and about all day and the local traffic that did use the road all died down by early evening.Somehow, it didn’t seem to matter and it was very quiet overnight as the road is not the main one you use to access the Amalfi Coast. Excellent breakfast buffet, anything you could want.Staff were very friendly and nice too. We ate in both nights and the food was really tasty, truly home made quality, perfect really, plenty of it and terrific value I thought.10 euro for Veal a La Limone! Not so keen on the desserts but I don’t rate Italian desserts or cakes anyway so that’s just me.There was a sweet trolley, something nice to see for a change. Superb fresh sourdough bread with meals too. Would definitely come back here…Massa Lubrense is a lovely, quieter area yet with great walks and drives to pretty corners. The bus to Sorrento takes 10 mins and stops right out side the hotel.Wouldn’t stay in that busy, hectic town for love nor money but worth a look. The easy, free parking right outside our hotel was so relaxing to have. Big family lunch on , on the Sunday we arrived, in a private suite , so it clearly is rated highly by locals too. We’ll be back!

It’s only day one but we already love this place. From the moment we arrived everyone has been welcoming, the reception, the cleaners, waiters and owners. What you imagine typical Italian would be. We love this place already!!

We stay at Bellavista four nights. The employees were very efficient and attentive. The room was clean, spacious and with a private balcony with the most amazing view of Capri and sunsets. The food at the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. Parking was always available. Indoor pool was relaxing. They helped us with reservations for 6-8 hours ferry to Capri for 60 euros per person which was very convenient and included pick from the hotel. The hotel is about 15 minutes car drive from Sorrento main plaza. Included breakfast was plentiful and well assorted. The only negative was the tiny one averaged sized person shower, I am pretty sure some big people would not fit in.

This is one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed in. Excellent service from all the staff. The only downside is having to get a bus to go anywhere but still worth it given the views from the room. Would definitely stay here again. Rooftop pool was cool

lovely hotel, clean, friendly staff, they really can't do enough and the food is excellent. Our balcony was lovely, with the amazing view overlooking Capri. From here we visited Pompei, Herculaum and Sorrento, But there is so much more to see

Some mixed feelings here. In our opinion, having traveled to the Amalfi coast numerous times before, the value was not that great here. Our room, as I guess all of the rooms, are along a busy road. Even with the blinds drawn, you'll still hear the cars and buses outside even at night. The room was very nicely decorated but was small, much smaller than we expected. Older bathroom very similar to most of the hotels of similar standard in the area, which were built somewhere around the 60's, I guess. The sea view from the room was technically nice, but I was not happy with the cars driving by all the time. Sure, you have a sea view but you also have a road view which really takes away the pleasure of enjoying the scenery from the balcony. Other areas were also quite traditional. The rooftop terrace is amazing and has beautiful views. Restaurant was very nice and we loved both the dinners as well as the breakfasts we had. We had booked the spa for two hours yet after 1 hour staff left and sauna was turned off without any prior notice. We stayed in the small, indoor pool but would have been nice to be notified about the sauna being switched off, especially since we had discussed a 2-h booking with the reception. I had contacted the hotel beforehand to ask if they could arrange some antipasti and Prosecco to our room when we arrive. We agreed to the cost of around 60€. What was there was certainly not worth that amount. We actually had the same antipasti plate in the restaurant which was much less. Although room service always has additional cost, this price was certainly not justifiable. I must point out, though, that even though I (I'm a woman) had made the reservation so it was under my name, I was also the one doing the check in and gave them a credit card that my on my name again, they had signed the room to my husband. I know it's Italy, but still.. ;) All in all, this is not a bad hotel and in it's price range it's ok. However, if you pay a little bit more you get a nicer option with a better value elsewhere. The location is good for those who want to explore by car. Also, around a half an hour scenic walk to Sorrento, that leaves from behing the hotel.

First impression of this hotel is what a great location with great views of the bay and Capri. The location is also its biggest failing though, as unless you have your own transport you are stuck with using the local bus service, which is cheap but due to the busy narrow roads means the bus timetable is a fantasy document! The hotel is on a busy road and you take your life in your hands trying to walk anywhere! We saw a number of mini buses driving round owned by other hotels - a Bellavista mini bus going into Sorrento a few times each day would be a major plus and save the road/bus ordeal! The hotel itself is clean, in a good condition, and the staff are friendly. The hotel room was clean and comfortable, but strangely we had to contact reception every single day to ask for the air con to be turned on! The pool is of a good size with plenty of beds and umbrellas, though as soon as there is any mild breeze the pool staff come round to put the umbrellas down! Breakfast is good with plenty of choice and the staff are friendly. The restaurant evening food is good with a decent selection, but it is the exact same menu for lunch which was disappointing. A different choice at lunch with smaller choices would have been ideal, especially as there were no other possible place to eat anywhere near. In summary it is a nice hotel, but the location would put me off going back.

We did not want to leave! Exceeded our expectations. Lovely hotel with amazing staff and restaurant. We are at the restaurant every night because the food was so delicious. Views of Capri and sunsets are incredible. The pool was so relaxing and rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone! Very accessible to Sorrento town square by bus that stops directly in front of the hotel every 20 minutes. Walkable to Maya Beach and Spiaggia di San Montano. We truly had the best time and can not wait to come back.

Stayed here four nights in May 2022. A superb hotel, we would definitely stay here again. Staff were really helpful and friendly, particularly the restaurant staff. The restaurant was great: we had lunch when we arrived (and another lunch by the pool), and two dinners. Better than other outings in Sorrento. Breakfast was great, a good choice, including bacon and scrambled eggs. Lots of fruit, yogurts, and coffee was good! Room was beautiful, great bathroom, terrific shower. Beautiful balcony overlooking the sea. Comfy bed, and we were able to log into our Netflix account! Spent a lazy day by the pool, warm enough to swim, a delicious lunch too. That was after a great massage at the spa. An indulgence day, just perfect. We thought the hotel might be too remote, but it was ideal. Definitely would not recommend staying in Amalfi, Positano or Capri, they're pretty but tourist traps. Capri, you really need someone else's bank account. Sorrento was the other option, but we're glad we chose here. The bus to Sorrento stops right outside the bus, and takes about 15 minutes to town. You're a walk away from Massa Lubrense, but there's no footpath, we didn't risk it. At reception, pick up a brochure for Soc, Coop. Marina della Lobra, a water tour company. They leave from the port near Massa Lubrense, and pick you up from the hotel (less than 5 mins to harbour). Much better than the chaos of Sorrento, very friendly crew, and lovely clean neat boats. We did Amalfi/Positano and also Capri. Just perfect. Really recommend this company. And finally, the piece de resistance: the view from our balcony. After arriving, we had lunch and went to bed early. Woke up in the morning at about 7, to see the early morning sun glowing on the cliffs of Capri. Now that's romantic! Idyllic. We also had a lovely sunset over Ischia. Breathtaking. You wouldn't get this anywhere else. So, definitely don't stay on the Amalfi coast. If you're thinking of staying in Sorrento, (which is a real town, not just a freak clutching onto a cliff), consider this gorgeous hotel. I would totally recommend it to anyone.
