We stayed at the Hotel Plaza for two nights last June. This was the last leg of our land trip before be boarded a cruise ship departing from Venice to the Greek Islands. We were looking for clean comfortable accommodations, helpful staff, good meal options and a great location - we got it. COMFORT: Ours was a clean comfortable room....

People may warn you not to stay in Mestre for the very simple reason that it is 10 mins train distance away from the historic Venetian island. What one may however not realize is that the accommodation in the historic part of Venice is extremely overpriced and you get 1/10th of what you pay. That said, it would make sense...

Hotel was very clean. Staff very helpful. Good breakfast. I would stay there again. Would not go out alone at night, neighborhood sketchy. Conveniently located across from train station. Loud noise from trucks in morning so you may want to close windows at night. Awesome restaurant "da Bepi" close by which was family owned and waiter spoke English perfectly and...

Stayed here for three nights after arriving by train from Florence, this hotel is also right opposite Mestre Train station, very convenient for travelling to Venice by bus or train; The Hotel has its own restaurant on ground floor serving food & drinks bar; we used the train station cafe for hot cappuccino drink as they make it very delicious...

Firstly, it's right in front of the railroad station so easy to get to Venice. The rooms are Adiquate and very clean. Service people speak English well, cause our Italian was very limited. The beds are very comfortable. Elevators are special , mirrors galor even on the ceiling. There is a dining room right across the lobby, and don't miss the...

We recently stayed with Hotel Plaza and had a mixed experience. I would rate them 2.5 out of 5 stars(not 3), but that is not an option. POSITIVES 1. Across the street is Venezia-Mestre train station, which is a hub to all the surrounding cities. Mestre is a city outside of Venice with a short 10 minute, 1.25 euro ride...

The hotel is around 5 mins from venice on the train from venice and is ideal for the traveller who wishes to avoid the constant tourist traffic of venice. Its spotless inside and quite charming& romantic for couples! the breakfast is awful though so would avoid it at all costs! The reception always have trays of sweets that are lovely...

Good hotel with nice service. The rooms were recently renovated and were big enough. Situated across the Train and Bus Station which was extremely helpful for transportation to and from Venice. Nice breakfast but with no variety. The same options throughout our stay. I did not like the fact that we have requested a double bed and they gave us...

We loved everything about this hotel except the fact that we had to take a crowded bus to and from the island. The decor is very modern and spacious. The room had two very comfortable king beds with room to spare and a separate area for a desk and closet. The rain shower was wonderful. We would stay here again...

Lovely hotel. Room was very clean. Great selection for breakfast. Couple of downsides no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and if you have a room facing the front of the hotel it can be quite noisy impossible to have the window open and sleep. Air con wasn't working as it is winter over there although the rooms were quite...
