We stayed with Vincenzo and Antonella for 3 months as part of a study abroad and absolutely loved it. The food is amazing and they truly make you feel at home. It's a 5 minute walk to the train station and a 45 minute ride to Florence or Pisa. An awesome city made better by an amazing hotel! We will...

I had a great stay at La Riviera! I was there with a group from my school for 3 months. The staff is incredible, the food is molta buona, and the rooms and views are nice. This small town is very friendly and not so busy as many tourist towns in Italy. There are plenty of opportunities to meet wonderful...

Hotel La Riviera is a great place to stay in Tuscana. The staff is very kind and helpful! The hotel is beautiful, clean, and nice and is a short walk to the train station. It is also located close to the town center and is near several amenities.

What a great place to experience Tuscany. It is just two blocks from train station and half way between Florence and Pisa. Montecatini Alto, just a short distance up the hill is a medieval village with impressive historical significance for the region. Staff is friendly and very accommodating to its guests. We brought 25 college students for a semester abroad...

I stayed here for an extended amount of time and I have nothing bad to say! Location is terrific! Minutes from the train station and only 40 minutes from Florence by train. The food was phenomenal! Hot meals that were true to the Tuscan region! Signore Vinchenzo was a fantastic host! He always checked to make sure we had everything...

The hotel is a convenient 5 minute walk from Montecatini Terme station, and 10 minutes from the town centre. Rooms are a good size, comfortable, air-conditioned and spotlessly clean. The owner Vincenzo is welcoming and helpful and the price (around €70 for a double room) very reasonable. Restaurant opening hours are limited - one sitting; early evening - so we...

We choose this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews, price, availability and location in Tuscany which is just a 40 minute ride by train from Florence. We took the train from Siena with a transfer of trains in Florence then onto Montecatin Terme. Is was really an easy trip and the location of this hotel was an easy 2 minute...

Visited the La Riviera while in Tuscany to see Florence. The hotel is 5 mins walk from the station and much better value, and quieter, than staying in Florence. Train takes c.1 hour into Florence and cost 10.40 Euros return. The hotel was excellent with the owner Vincenzo being very helpful and offering good advise on the local area. The...

We stayed here for 3 nights in august 2013. Great service and fantastic food (if you love italian food this is the place to go. A lot of italians also stay here. We think for the food and service). The rooms are basic, but real italian and very very clean. The owners are very helpfull and can provide you with...

Good, clean, family run hotel, attentive friendly service with good food including dinner each evening. Being near the rail station we used the hotel as a base to visit all the usual tourist areas, Florence, Lucca, Pisa etc etc.

“Balconies at the front seem advantageous but there is traffic noise starting at 7 / 7.30 from the main Road. Also this area (especially Pisa) has a fair few mozzies therefore I would not readily recommend sitting out unless you have plastered on the repellent. We had a balcony room at the front but I am unsure whether it has any advantages.”
