Our stay at Villa Nottola in Montepulciano was absolutely perfect!! Alfredo and Tiziana are genuinely gracious hosts!! Our rooms were spacious, neat, and clean with modern facilities. The meals were delicious with a large variety of breakfast menu items to choose from every morning. Tiziana is an amazing cook and even shared a family recipe for one of our favorite... More

Nice rooms, friendly staff, close to Montepulciano. Lovely villa sorounded by beautiful scenery. You can get a tour of the vineyards and wine tasting for a reasonable price. Great breakfast with delicious home-made cakes. If you're staying in Villa Nottola, you get a discount in the restaurant and the food is yummy!! All in all, we had a wonderful stay... More

You are greeted by Alfredo with a tasting glass and some very pleasant wines. The room we had above the restaurant was large clean and comfortable. Having looked at what was available in the town, we were grateful to find this vineyard accomodation. The restaurant review will follow if I get out of this comfortable bed!

Just loved it! The most amazing place for a romantic trip or if you really enjoy wine. The hotel has a nice restaurant, if you travel during summer, there's a large and clean swimming pool. Rooms are comfortable with lots of space! The views are breathtaking. Definitively a must! Need to rent a car, must visit the spectacular town of... More

My boyfriend & I found this place by happy accident when 3 other large wineries couldn't/wouldn't accommodate us to a tour of their vineyard, without a reservation. We were sent here for lunch; (perhaps THE BEST we had eaten in all of Italy, certainly authentic to the region) & were able to join the afternoon tour. Alfredo makes this tour... More

We chose Villa Nottola because we didn't have a car at the time so we caught the train from Siena to the Montepulciano train station which was still a 15 minute drive from the town, then caught the local bus which dropped as at the bus stop. Be wary of the local touts at the train station they will try... More

We visited here just one night as on route elsewhere. The hotel is lovely - well located, nice room, beautiful views. Unfortunately we arrived 1430 and reception not manned so we called the number on the door and no one answered. We asked in restaurant and were told it opens 1500. No other help given. It was really hot so... More

Great tour and history of the region and property from Alfredo. Tasted wines at winery restaurant.....wine and food was excellent. If near Montepulciano this is a must stop. Probably a good idea to reserve tasting/tour in advance. The property and rooms look wonderful and would be a good central point to visit the wine Region with day trips.

We spent a few hours at Cantina Nottola for a tour and wine tasting. The tour, led by Alfredo, was great...one of the better wine tours I've experienced. We enjoyed the wine tasting so much we bought several cases of the Nobile and the Vin Santo. Alfredo and his wife were wonderful, and we'd definitely recommend a visit to Cantina... More

We stayed here for 5 nights at the end of May and loved every aspect of Villa Nottola. Our room was huge - two to 3 times the size of an average European hotel room. We had a nice view of the olive trees and the view from the parking lot - esp at sunset - is that of pure... More
