This hotel is a hidden gem. It is located within easy walking distance of the beach and a short hike from the historical sites in Paestum. The staff was very accomodating and friendly. The rooms were very nicely furnished and quite clean. My only complaint...More
Driving to the hotel was a little honky tonk, which was why we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The room was very good size and had a bunk bed for our daughter who was traveling with us. We did have dinner at the hotel...More
I have been coming to this hotel since the summer 1999 when I was studying abroad in Italy. Of all the things my professor introduced me to, Paestum and Hotel Poseidonia Mare are what I loved the most. It truly is paradise. If you're looking...More

It's generally more efficient for Paestum visitors to ask hotel to pick you up from Salerno train station which is around 40 min drive 60-70 euro for car depending on class. Salerno can be reached by freccia from Rome in 1,5 hours and then easy 40 min drive is much better as practice shows. Regional trains stopping in Paestum are rare, packed (tickets without seat reservation), slow and usually late.

"Be sure to also have dinner in their restaurant. Surprisingly good for a relatively small hotel."
