My fiancé and I traveled to Italy in October 2018. During our trip, we spent 10 days and stayed in 8 different hotels. We wanted to cap off our trip with a couple of nights in Positano as we’ve all heard how amazing it is there. So we decided to book 2 nights at the Marincanto

Spent 5 nights here in August for our honeymoon and had the best time. Staff are friendly, welcoming and very knowledgable. The hotel is a little more old fashioned than the type of hotel we usually stay in but this is in keeping with the theme of Italy and it was lovely.

That unmistakable view....of the roof.
The ancient "Jacuzzi Shower" that they seem to think is some sort of upgrade.
The luxurious hair dryer that looks like a vacuum hose coming from the wall.
Old junk furniture that's half broken
Got duped into booking an ocean view "superior" room and this is what it was.
There is in fact parking, but limited. I would contact the hotel to see if you can reserve a spot in advance. They respond to emails very quickly.

We walked up from the ferry and it is a zig zag walk up the hill. Not easy to say the least. When we left there was a porter service that took our luggage down and met us at the dock. It was like 10 euros a bag. Totally worth it. I would check with the hotel on getting that service for the way up. I also saw taxi type service that we should have used but didn’t realize it was so far. Rolling suitcases might be easier. We had a heavy duffle. I still suggest getting a porter

Hello - sorry for the delay. Yes, we gave our credit card details. We also spoke with them on the phone and they made some arrangements for some special requests for us as it was our honeymoon. It does seem a little old-fashioned to pay this way, but we didn't have any problems. They speak English pretty well, so if you prefer, maybe phone them with your credit card details rather than in an email? They are so friendly, I am sure they will help you. best regards
