This lovely small family run and very friendly hotel made our stay on the Amalfi coast the perfect refuge after a long day of sightseeing. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners when it came to making our rooms more comfortable or booking taxis and excursions as neither myself or my friend spoke any Italian. One was made to...

This is a sweet little spot, centrally located. Lovely walk down to Minori. It was an ideal spot. Have to park in the lot a good block away and lug your stuff up. We needed to ask directions while on foot.

We booked this without paying a great deal of attention to the reviews. We arrived very late having been driven from Naples Airport, and wandered around Ravello looking for the Hotel.Eventually, finding it, we received a warm welcome, and this continued throughout the visit. This Hotel is incredibly reasonable for Ravello, and is a well run ,VERY clean, family establishment. The bed was hardish, but...

It is one of the cheapest in Ravello. Clean room and decent service. Old style furnishings. The hotel offers a decent breakfast. It is located on the top of stairs in Ravello so pushchairs can be a problem. Nothing major to complain. I would stay again for one or 2 nights.

I love this little hotel. I am boggled by some of the negative comments, but they reveal more about the cultural ignorance of the traveler than they do the hotel. I stayed in room #5 which is a solo room. It is fine for me, just enough space. Flat screen TV with many channels (Italian), good wifi, a window with...

We originally chose a different place to stay in Ravello for a wedding however upon arriving found out it was an utter disaster and therefore chose this instead. It's clean and it's in the centre of Ravello so those are the two good points. When we checked in however, nobody spoke a word of English and we had a car...

Dear Sirs , thank you for choosing our hotel. We were really glad to have you as our guests. We want to apologize if our tastes do not coincide with yours. Ravello is a stunning city and our stay at Toro Hotel unfortunately wasted part of its beauty. The hotel itself is nice, the location central yet quiet, and the staff friendly at first. Unfortunately the room is very basic: old TV, uncomfortable bed (very hard mattress which has been hurting my back for the last week) and tiny bathroom (so...

Rated a Three Star this backwards hotel is the perfect example of what not to do when working in the hotel business. We stayed for 4 nights as we were in town for a wedding - the entire stay here was ridiculous: - Our bed was more uncomfortable than a bed of nails - There was constant staff chatter in...

A charming hotel, pleasant staff, flowered gardens and attractive art on the walls made for a happy 10-day stay in May and June. Owner Giulia Schiavo even directed me to a doctor to treat my strep throat! She's a fifth generation hotelier. Her great grandfather opened the second hotel in town, near the present Hotel Caruso. Hotel Toro's virtues are...

“Wifi was free and very good indeed. Overall wifi in ravello is good and you can get access in most areas, with a free code at any bar etc. Food wise there are many choices, on out same street a place just numbered 44 in the street was good. Also hotel garden, great food, great location with views. Whatever you do make sure you go down the amalfi coast. We did Amalfi, great place, posatiano, and then into sorento.”

“If you don't mind suffering, no hot water, small rooms and an unspoken curfew, go to Toro for it's location. But seriously, for a few bucks more, just go to a nicer hotel with hot water. That really matters when you go back after a hot day or get waken up by the loud music down the road from the church.”
