i usually dont write bad reffrence, since each of us has a different view and value a different things, however this time is the first time i m looking forward to the return home.. Scoglio is a nice hotel with a nice beach but with the worst service ever. staff doesnt speak any english, animation team is rude and ignorrant, in this huge complex theres no space you can hide yourself from a repetitive and loud music at the pool terrace, beach terrace and even at the beach front where diffrent music is crossing each other especially at the beach terrace.. not possible to relax and enjoy natural sound of the beautiful sea. the all inclusive system is sort of pushed as it offers almost nothing worth to write about. overall not recommend this hotel if you want to relax and forget all worries.…
The hotel is 4 stars unless local Italians. Internationally, it would be 3 stars. As the hotel starts working with foreign tourists, the staff must know at least the basic phrases in English. We only met 4 staff members speaking English. Only 1 girl on the staff spoke well. Also, most hotel staff are impolite, i.e. doesn't even greet in italian. One should not expect 100% quality of work. We had a situation where the day before booking the car for rent, the next day we did not receive it on time. It turned out that the receptionist took notes and simply forgot to call the rental agency. However, thanks to the rental agency, we received the car later in the day. Animators work poorly. The worst part is that they only deal with locals. Otherworldly people are circled around with fear so they just don't talk. I don't think it's hard to say hello in English. Also a bit of an interesting system at the power station. We have never encountered such a situation. People are planted at their desks and are only required to eat there during their stay. The food is delicious but definitely not all. It is often cold. But for my personal taste and that of my wife, it was not bad. Of course, you can get much tastier Italian food at a restaurant near the hotel. The beach is beautiful, but swimming is not great. Lots of ski rocks, so not everyone can get to the bathing area. It can also cause injury. Since I was diving, I had to see the seabed. The hotel beach area (water) is full of debris, logs, drowned large metal gates, which I think really is not difficult to remove. I think it has to do with culture because there is a lot of trash everywhere in southern Italy. Also some unconventional check-out time is 10:00. However, it is good that the hotel has a special storage space for luggage, where you can find showers and toilets. The front desk gives you a free towel for bathing, so if you wait for an airplane in the evening, you will be able to use the beach for the rest of the day despite checking out. In spite of the above, the hotel is good, the rooms are tidy and clean daily. Towels and sheets are changed daily as well. Poor soundproofing of rooms - very loud neighbors. The hotel has a relatively good sports club. We were very pleased with that. We are grateful for your stay at Scoglio Della Galea and wish you every success in developing, welcoming and welcoming new tourists.…
located overlooking the sea, welcoming but a bit fanee. very small rooms, impossible to unpack. tiny blind bathroom. food not up to standard, more suitable for an international audience than anything else. poorly maintained. efficient, helpful staff. all very clean. beautiful sea. it's not worth four stars category.
We spent a wonderful week holiday in Scoglio Della Galea Resort. Hotel is located in a nice half-closed bay close to Capo Vaticano, approximately 2 hour drive by bus from Lamezia Terme Airport. Hotel complex consist of main building on the hill with sea view apartments, with a big terrace and swimming + baby pool on its roof, Restaurant & Bar complex and finally bungalow apartments, all located in very nice, tidy and cared gardens. During nice sunny day terrace with pool offers a beautiful view on Sea, Stromboli Volcano and Sicilia Island. Glorious garden is clean and full of olive and citrus trees, palms, etc. In upper part is located relaxation pool with massages, in the bottom part of campus are playgrounds. All parts of campus are connected with train, which drives regularly during day (7:30-10, 11:30-13:30, 16:30-20:30). Bottom part or hidden upper part are very quiet, we recommend them for people & families seeking „peace“. Beach area is very close (1min walk from bottom part of hotel campus), and has its own bar & restaurant with special diner offer during evening, toilets, remoted apartments and of course beach resting part divided to sand part (2 lines of sun umbrellas) and upper bigger part, equipped with artificial (plastic) grass. On beach you can borrow pedal-boat or canoe for free, we recommend them! Beach entrance is stony, but beach is also equipped by a short wharf for boats and serves as an entrance to deeper water. Two days out of seven, jellyfishes occasionally occurred in the water, near the coast. They were mostly caught by lifeguard, but it was necessary to be careful. On the beach were sellers of a poor look, who sold clothing, jewellery and beach equipment. I do not know about any problem with theft, but these bids several times a day are really annoying. But this is a general problem in Italy, beaches are not private and closed only for hotel guests. Or apartment located in the bottom part of the campus was probably not the newest one, but still nice, well-preserved and clean. Equipped with air-conditioning. Cleaning service was excellent. Food in restaurant was delicious. We have been surprised every diner. Besides typical fish/meat offer with inexhaustible possibilities of salads and side dishes, hotel staff prepared specialities of the day: tuna fish, seafood, shrimps, but also veal meat, Italian pasta or sushi! Every gourmet will be satisfied! Breakfast were typical Italian sweet with many cookies and croissants, but also great pancakes and waffles! I missed vegetables. Lunches offered meat/fish dishes, fruit and cakes. The beverage supply was weaker, but this is a question of setting up between a hotel and a costly office Hotel also offered animation programme for kids and adults (sport activities) and also every day evening programs. WiFi was accessible in common areas (restaurant, bar, pool, beach bar) but there is also stable LTE/3G connection on mobile services. From village is possible to travel to Tropea using bus (from Piazza Santa-Maria) or join some trip to Sicilia or Stromboli organised by travel agencies. Summary: We spent a great time there! Thank you, hotel staff and Animation team!…
We loved this place. Perfect italian food and very helpful employees. We had every day different food- tuna, shrims, calamares, pastas, fruits, PROFITEROLS ♥ We had beautiful view from restaurant´s terase. Beach was clean and quite. You could have lunch on beach bar where they did good espreso, ice coffe and cappuchino (include in ALL Inclusive). We visited Trope which is only 30 minutes from Ricadi. We used bus which goes every 2 hours (2,5 euro - 1 ride). I definetly came back any times :)
