We stayed at the Shackleton for 5 nights over Christmas. The owners went out of their way to make a special event for the younger kids getting the chef to dress up as Father Christmas - it's a family-oriented hotel. Rather eccentric architecture , modern on the outside yet traditional wood and stone inside, the room was huge for a...

A modern building from outside and the mountain hut atmosphere inside. Hotelrooms are relatively big and somewhat simple from interior, but that is quite ok for a wintersport hotel. Staff is extremely helpfull and friendly. Breakfast is good dinner is very good. Roomservice and cleaning absolutely top. Parking of the hotel in the garage is available at a very reasonable...

As a bottom line I do recommend. Also advise them to improve some things (written below). Well decorated and comfortable room (3 adults room). Liked to see they really care about the look of the room and furnishing (beds, bath, decoration). Staff is friendly and willing to help. There. Is a happy hour but we found that "by the way".It is important...

This was our second time staying in this lovely family run hotel. The owners (Davide and Fiore) and all the staff are delightful. They organise everything for you, should you so wish - for us it was ski lessons and ski hire. Davide organises private ski lessons with himself, he is a great skier (ex Italian Team) and our children...

The breakfast buffet was excellent, even for Scandinavan people like us. We found both cereals and yoghurt as well as bread, cheese, ham, different kinds...

We have been for a one week with 2 children. 4 stars hotel. Very good staff on reception, really polite, helpful, can book for you, can organize, smiling, professional. Hotel running by family. Big children room to play (but.... for free only 3 hours per a day). Rather good rooms, very coisy "ski" design, all are different, rather easy to...

Really wonderful hotel. I took my family (2a, 2c) for a week's skiing holiday, staying at the Shackleton. Had a fantastic time. Really distinctive small hotel, beautifully and charmingly run by Davide and Fiore, extremely friendly, fantastic with children. Great food, including excellent suppers. Really warm and welcoming, including the excellent and energetic Frederica who organised all our stuff, helped...
