Incredible value for money , yes a 3 star but truly full of charms , outstanding location . I staid at an apartment called -La Grotta- this had 2 bedrooms , large living , pool , huge kitchen . Truly excellent for this price segment - and a magnificent view! Family owned olive yard all around , and family owns...

We booked this resort a month prior to travel and received a formal confirmation. When I called to let them know that we would be arriving late as our flight had been delayed by 8 hours, I was told that they had no booking for us, however they would be able to allocate us an apartment. I was very upset...

The owners revived an old little village (17 or 18 th century) in Poreta near Spoleto. We had an nice and comfortable room with a small garden-terrace with delicately chosen flowers and herbs, smelling well. All of the buildings are decorated with excellent taste, with libraries, sitting rooms for every season. Nice swimming pool in a romantic park where you...

This is a quiet haven in a place that seems very remote at first sight, but which is actually quite centrally located with respect to many higlights in the area (Spoleto, Perugia, Assisi, Todi). With the rustic charm of a farm house and its surrounding gardens, it also has the sophistication of its interiors (our “standard room” was really cosy,...

The Borgo lies in an exceptional piece of Italy that features an extraordinary quiet, beautiful and impressive scenery of nature and culture. We stayed in a very well-designed superior room that perfectly fitted the setting of the historic Borgo. Everything is done to make sure you feel right at home. From the lovely gardens, the in house produced organic olive...

I almost feel like not writing this review as I don't want to spoil a little gem in the Umbrian countryside. Not cheap, but beautifully presented, with peaceful surroundings, unfailingly good service, pleasant food, and above all else, surroundings good for the soul - tranquil, attractive, quiet, and harmonious. My only wish was that it had been a two night...

The environment of nearby olive clad hills is sensational as are the bedrooms in this elegant country hotel with vast lawned gardens & huge pool overlooking serene countryside. There are nearby non-touristic villages such as Trevi & Montefalco - both beautiful with lots of bistros & interesting faces to observe - as well as larger Spoleto.

We hesitate to call too much attention to this wonderful farm resort near Spoleto as the pristine countryside and unspoilt nature of the area, (totally tourist trap-free!) are what made this an ideal and idyllic way to discover Umbria. However, the staff--especially host Maria and chef Valentina--and owners--Filippo & mother Alessandra--deserve much credit in making our stay so wonderful. The...

We found this farm resort through Mr and Mrs Smith and it has been wonderful. The owner and staff (Filippo, Sara and Maria) couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms are individual and the communal areas very stylish and comfortable. The restaurant has limited choice but everything is delicious and the head chef (Valentina) is open to suggestions. We were...

Having visited the Borgo della Marmotta on numerous occasions, my dad and his new wife decided to have their wedding here in October 2015. It's hard to find the words to describe how amazing the experience was - and the staff at the hotel deserve so much credit for this. The first thing my friend said to me when we...
