This is a small family-owned apartment block, with just five different apartments, and it does have a lovely family feel to it. Our apartment (Africa) had full balconies on two sides, with great views over the Bay of Naples. It was clean, modern, and well-equipped - the one thing it could have done with was a large sofa. On site there is a bar and breakfast area, and a rooftop restaurant (not open when we were there). It's on one of the main roads in Vico Equense but noise was not an issue. Federico and his family were extremely helpful, and arranged transfers from and to the airport for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I would highly recommend the apartments. PS Don't believe the reviewer who said there was no steep climb to the beach - from wherever you are in Vico Equense, and whichever beach you go to, you are going to have a steep climb down and a steep climb back up!

We absolutely loved our time at Cubo Apartments. Vico Equense is a beautiful small town and is also a perfect location for exploring places in southern Italy such as Sorrento, Capri, Pompeii and Amalfi Coast. This is a family run business who made us feel at home. Federico was available to answer our queries at all times and was really helpful giving us information for taxis, travelling, restaurants etc. Anna made us a gorgeous breakfast and coffee every morning and was so welcoming. The rooms were beautifully designed, modern and clean. Stunning views from the balcony of Mount Vesuvius and the sea. Washing machine, ironing board and anything else you might need. Lots of lovely restaurants in short walking distance from the hotel. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to Vico Equense train station which makes it a great base from which you can travel around: Pompeii (22 minutes), Sorrento (11 minutes) and Naples (approx 1hr). We would highly recommend these apartments and we can’t wait to come back!

Cubo apartments was honestly amazing from start to finish. Federico, the son, was really a fantastic help. Organising transport from the airport to the apartments was great as we arrived quite late in the evening. The complimentary drinks on arrival was still given even with the late hour which was a lovely touch. Upon arrival we were offered an upgrade which had some of the most breath taken views. The apartments themselves are beautiful as we didn't get the upgrade until the following day due to other guests leaving we got an advantage of seeing more then 1 apartment. They are modern, well maintained, clean, spacious enough for a couple and really beautifully decorated. The house keeping ladies were lovely and also helpful if anything was needed. The apartment is located in a great spot with a supermarket around the corner, the train stations 5 minute walk away and plenty of restaurants to choose from. Federico was extremely helpful when we asked questions about trips and excursions, given great tips and sending links that were useful. Federicos and Alassandras, the daughter, English is excellent and both were helpful for questions and tips about getting around. Anna, the mam, was a character in herself while her English is not great she makes you feel so welcome and tries her hardest to explain things even getting out google translate to give her a helping hand. By far some of the nicest baked goods I have had in a long time and her home made jam, the fruits grown in their garden, is delicious. On our second last day we woke up late and thinking we wouldn't get breakfast in the apartments were making a plan when breakfast was delivered to our door which was a really nice touch and very welcoming. I would be happy to recommend this apartment to family and friends and would happily come back myself. Cubo apartments really is a great place to stay

This family run apart-hotel was a real treat. We stayed a long weekend in May and wish it was longer. Our apartment had a sea view with Vesuvius across the bay, it was spacious, well-equipped, comfortable and immaculately clean. The kitchen is big and has everything for self-catering, but we highly recommend the restaurant which serves traditional Neapolitan dishes and sushi – all made with fresh ingredients, full of flavour. Coffee is top. Great location in the pleasant town centre, very close to the beach (no steep climb), lots of small shops, cafes and bars; safe, family-friendly and convivial; convenient to visit Pompeii and Amalfi coast. Above all we received a warm welcome and excellent service. Bravo to the hosts!

I booked these apartments based on the reviews. I expected to receive communication from the owner or at least a response to my emails..nothing. I should have taken that as a red flag because we arrived at the apartment and no one was there to check us in. I called the owner several times, Expedia called the owner several times and no response. Imagine how we felt being in a foreign country and not having a place to stay. I can't believe someone can stay in business and treat paying customers this way and by the way, we had prepaid for the room. Thank goodness the Hotel Aquae next door had rooms available and Expedia was able to relocate us to that hotel. Needless to say, I am very disappointed with how the owner mishandled what we were expecting to be a wonderful stay in Vico Equense at Cubo Apartments. The owner to this day has not acknowledged us or apologized.

Me, my wife and our two year old daughter stayed in Cubo apartments for six nights. The apartment we got was very big and comfortable and had almost anything you would want including washer \ dryer for laundry. Basic groceries like cooking oil, salt, pepper, tea bags and coffee were missind, and could have made this place perfect. The apartment is well maintained, modern and very clean (it was cleaned and organized every day during our stay) - but it was a little loud because of noise from the street, especially during the weekend (our apartment faced the street). We really liked the breakfast that was pretty good and versatile - we especially liked Anna's home made cakes. The hosts - Anna, Alfonso and their son Federico were super nice, caring and attentive to everything we needed. They gladly recommend a restaurant to eat or a site to visit. Highly recommend!!

Our three night booking in the one bedroom Oceania Superior Seaview apartment was made on the basis of it being a quiet and relaxing apartment, however the reality was that it was facing a very busy road and traffic noise continued until 2:00 in the morning. It started again by 6:00 a.m. In addition, staff started moving furniture on the rooftop terrace at around 6:00 a.m., which we could clearly hear in the apartment, as the rooftop terrace was directly above. We asked to be moved to a quieter apartment, but were told that none were available that day. We had no choice but to leave early and book a different hotel. Cubo apartments refused to refund or reduce the amount payable. If you are not bothered by traffic noise, then the apartment is fine, but if you are looking for peace and tranquillity, as we were, then you may be disappointed by the level of traffic noise. Also, the two balconies are next to each other on the same side of the apartment, which is not made clear in their description. Sitting on the balcony means putting up with traffic noise, which in my opinion is far from ideal.

My family and I (7 people total) stayed in Vico Equense at the Cubo apartments and had the most incredible time. The apartments are a small family run operation, and they do it superbly well. After 8 long days of tours and museums throughout Italy, it was a perfect respite to relax and gain our sanity back. The breakfast every morning was to die for. There were many mornings I wanted to sleep in well past 10 but woke up for those scrambled eggs on toast with ham. The croissants are also local and great. The apartment was fantastic. The dinner at their rooftop restaurant was also great, with perfectly prepared locally caught seafood on the menu. We had an air conditioning issue the first night but they had a repair man come and get it fixed up promptly the next day. The beaches around are relaxing and nice. I highly recommend renting a scooter locally to ride and check out the rest of the coast, you won't regret it. I would recommend the Cubo apartments to anyone visiting the coast of Italy.

My wife and i stayed here for 2 weeks making it our base while we where on the Amalfi Coast...it was the perfect choice. The train station is a 5 minute walk as is the bus station and if you need to get to or from the Naples Airport on your departure or arrival the Airport bus stops 50 meters away! After a perfect nights rest in a very well kept and clean suite, you can start the day by enjoying Anna's ( Mama Mia! ) special homemade pastries, fresh squeezed OJ and a choice of hardy breakfast options and at the end of a day out you can put your feet up and enjoy the amazing views looking toward Mount Vesuvius across the waters between Vico Equence and Naples. The Europa penthouse suite where we stay also had spectacular views of the old castle and shore line. If you stay for a few nights then get ready for a fireworks show at least one of the nights you stay. Special events and weddings take place on a regular basis and they always end with a spectacular fireworks display that will add a "Wow" to any one watching...compliment that with one of Anna's homemade dinner options and you are now truly at the end of The Path of the Gods!! ... they also run a fabulous sushi bar on the main entry! So if you like local Italian flavor and hospitality then Cuba is the family run place to stay. Thanks to the rest of the family for all the tips and pre arrival information ( Steffi will take care of you )! Enjoy, explore and relax at Cubo Apartments, you won't regret it. Special Tip for Pizza lovers ... do yourself a favour and dig into a Pizza Metro ... they make pizza's by the meter!! World famous and a short walk from Cubo!!
