This modern boutique hotel has just 24 rooms with an excellent Michelin restaurant. A n exquisite pool is on the terrace with a few steps down the sea. A simple and delicious lunch is served on the terrace. The rooms are cool very comfortable, delicately furnished and everything works. A great bar and top Mixologist Michel mixes superb cocktails. The staff are all charming and very helpful. Valerio Cappiello is the General Manager and ensures that the magnificent hotel runs smoothly. can't wait to stay there again.
we really enjoyed this hotel and only marked it 4* as opposed to 5 for reasons below. Wonderful setting in the bay, right on the water with beautiful 'beach' and sea water pool. delightful staff all very helpful, and all food delicious both at the simpler poolside restaurant and the flashy michelin star one. Loved the lifts to Vico Equense - all very efficient and like a private taxi service! our only negative was noise around the bay from weddings adn parties that echoes around the bay and is so loud we had to sleep with doors closed. nothing the hotel can do of course but it is a factor if you are looking for a quite place. i did notice this hotel had alot of space for events so fear they too may host weddings...but did not happen when we were there so maybe not? my wife found spa booking quite tricky!! as never anyone around or answering the phone..im guessing suffering from staff shortages like everyone. But minor stuff this is a serious and lovely hotel and Vico Equense is a charming discovery - and of course Sorrento only few minutes away on the train. Thank you…
We spent an excellent 3 days here. The pictures of the location speak for themselves. The ladies at the front desk and the shuttle driver Giovanni made our trip amazing. They are friendly, informative, and truly interested in helping you. The bar is superb featuring inventive drinks and a nice hang out. Vico Equense is a great location with nice restaurants, proximity to Sorrento, Pompeii, Herculaneum via the circum vesuvius metro. Major differentiators: 1) Staff 2) Parking 3 Shuttle to train station, makes all of the bay naples accessible 4) location - you can't be closer to the water unless you are afloat We can't wait to return for a longer stay.
We have just spent 4 days at this beautiful tranquil hotel. The attention to detail from design through to service was quite exceptional virtually faultless. It’s position can hardly be bettered and the property seemed at one with its surrounding environment. Only 24 rooms which is always a plus for me, we were in a prestige room , there were higher grades but not really necessary. The welcome we received was just what you want after a long journey, leave everything to us just sit down have a cold drink and take in the views. All the staff were excellent but Stefano down at the beach made sure we had everything we needed at all times always smiling and a font of local knowledge. Helena up at reception was also extremely helpful throughout our stay. We shall be back
I loved the property! It was tranquil, beautiful setting and the sound of the water every night from my balcony was gorgeous! My room was spacious, clean and filled with natural light. The bathroom was large and the amenities were lovely! Breakfast was delicious overlooking the water daily was a fantastic way to start the day! I had several treatments in the spa. They were great! The spa was very peaceful, clean with breathtaking views. Anna was my massage therapist —she was spectacular. She was very skilled, compassionate, customer service oriented and eased all my tension. I went back the next day for a second massage! I loved the hotel and am returning this July. It’s a jewel!
Great Spa run by Anna with sounds of the waves nearby - don't miss getting a massage in the outside area. Lovely rooms and food. Short distance to Sorrento but you will not want to leave. Beautiful scenery.
Food, people, service- exceptional, without being stuffy. All restaurants, breakfast, the beach club, -- everything, couldn't have been better. We can't wait to be back. This was one of four hotels we stayed at on our honeymoon. We aren't fancy folks-- but we love luxury. This was the perfect combination for us. Michelin mean at the restaurant, but beach clothes at the trattoria down by the water. Still dreaming of the bruschetta. Loved the terrace so much attached to our room we got room service lunch just to enjoy the view. Can't wait to be back.
I visited for 8 nights in September 2020. This is a small, stylish boutique hotel set at the water's edge close to Vico Equense. We stayed in a "Prestige Room" with a beautiful terrace looking out over the stunning bay of Naples. The room was amply sized with a decent bathroom. The bathroom did not have a separate shower, rather a shower attachment in the bath, but the water pressure and temperature in the shower was great. The bed was huge and very comfortable, we had great quality sleep every night. The breakfast at the hotel is fantastic - an array of delicious pastries accompanied by your choice of coffees, teas, juices etc, as well as a small a la carte menu of cooked food. Both the omelettes and the caprese salad were delicious options. All this served from a balcony overlooking the sea once again. No pressure to finish up quickly and move on, so you could enjoy a relaxing, leisurely, large breakfast. The hotel is around 15-20 minutes' walk from the nearest town which is Vico Equense - it's a fairly easy walk though at points the pavement runs out. If that bothers you though, the hotel does a complimentary shuttle into town that you can take any time you like until around 11pm. And to return, just call the hotel on a number they give you and within 5-10 minutes they'll arrive to pick you up again! The spa is pleasant and relaxing, and has some very strong anti-COVID rules in place which meant it was very enjoyable to use, and was free to hotel guests provided you reserved your slot. A couple of minor annoyances. First, the hotel doesn't have anywhere to get a small bite to eat for lunch. All the food starts at 20 Euro, which I understand, given the location of the hotel, but it would be nice to get a small bite to eat for a little cheaper after such a great breakfast. And secondly, you are limited in the amount of drinking water the hotel gives you. You get a small bottle of sparkling and a small bottle of still each evening, but that's nowhere near enough to get through the day. Having filtered tap water would be ideal. Ultimately though, these are very minor things because the hotel is great. I wouldn't hesitate to come back again, and I'm sure I will in fact do so in future!…
We have just returned from Capo La Gala. What a beautiful situation! Absolutely stunning - you won’t be disappointed. The people are what make the hotel what it is and are a credit to the owner. Too many to mention but Valerio, Manager was very attentive and offered a room upgrade which was much appreciated on a lower floor as I had injured myself and my wife was pregnant. Mikel, Giuseppe, Ivan and colleagues - all absolutely fantastic, as was Antonio around the pool - very professional and nothing was too much effort. We were so impressed how hardworking everyone was and how happy they were to serve. The only negative were the rooms and corridors - they are in need of a refurb. Ok by Italian standards but when compared to 5* properties in France or Greece, they are just not up to standard and are quite basic for the money. Also the raised lounge area is beautiful and should be taken advantage of more. We sat up there once and had a drink on request but we were told it was really for events. What a shame as it could be a bar itself and is such a great place to read a book and chill. Maxi (Michelin Star) was closed when we were there however the restaurant served very good quality food by the same chef in a COvid safe environment. We felt very safe in the hotel at all times. Due to my injury I was unable to use the outdoor gym but it looked to a good standard overlooking the sea. The sea is very accessible by multiple stairs off the rocks so is safe to swim. Infinity pool is beautiful and recently done. Overall we loved our stay which was unfortunately cut short by the weather. We will return! …
My wife and I had a flight booked departing Naples. Due to a delayed ferry and the heavy traffic we missed our flight and decided to treat ourselves at the tail-end of our honeymoon to the Capo La Gala Hotel. We can both say this was the best 'missed flight' experience we ever made. The hotel staff was extremely accomodating and friendly. The hotel itself is a very elegant and beautifully designed SPA hotel on the coast of Naples. We had an outstanding stay at this stunning property and spend most of our time lounging at the beautiful and tranquil swimming pool with occasional dips into the peaceful ocean. We used the panoramic gym and enjoyed cocktails while watching the sunset. We ended our stay with the best all-inclusive brunch we had during our 2 weeks stay in Italy.
