Vico Equense is a lovely small town three stops outside Sorrento. It has a very good choice of restaurants in walking distance. Rooms without balcony can use a lovely communal balcony to relax and enjoy the view. It is a minute from the station. The hotel provided very useful timetable of the train and Sita bus services. Very clean. The breakfast was very good.

Located just outside Vico Equense station, the hotel overlooks the Gulf of Naples with Mount Vesuvius in the backdrop. The staff was warm and helpful both before and during our stay. With a great price and nice breakfast, this is an ideal place to stay during your visit to Sorrento, Amalfi coast and Pompeii.

Liked · Forget going to Sorrento. This hotel was amazing. Staff was excellent. They were very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable..The area was breathtaking. Great restaurants within walking distance. plus the Tran station is an easy walk of 4 minutes up the hotel.

The hotel was in a very cute little town just couple of stops before Sorento, stunning view and very clean and nice room, there is a nice terrace between rooms so no matter which room you get you can still go sit outside and enjoy. Mr Luigi did amazing job during breakfast, which makes you feel so welcomed and so does the staff at the reception. I really recommend the place, if you would like to be in a place which is not over priced and yet clean, nice and convenient for transportation, since it’s just across the street from the train station (and which for a change didn’t make the area sounds dodgy but in the contrary it added to its benefit) this is the place to be… after all it’s only for sleeping

We had extended the reservation 2 times because we liked this place. The hotel is conveniently located. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Nice sea view. Fresh and stylish interior. Varied and tasty breakfast. Friendly personnel. Especially thank Adelia she is so cut and attentive was taking care about us all time staying.

Just spent 3 nights in this hotel with some friends. The views from this hotel are amazing and it is lovely and clean. Beds made and room cleaned every day. The staff here are very warm and welcoming. Especially the gentleman that works the night shift. They helped us book our taxi back to Naples airport which only takes 30 minutes btw. The buffet breakfast was substantial. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay near Pompeii and Sorrento.

Just spent a week in this hotel which I found comfortable, pretty and very clean. The whole staff is very warm and welcoming : a real pleasure ! I couldn’t experience the breakfast as it was not available at this time (COVID…) but found everything I needed with locals 5min walking distance. On the possible improvements, I join other reviews concerning the sound insulation which could be better.

We really enjoyed our stay in Vico. The rooms were very nice and the location of the hotel is brilliant for trips with the local train. Just make sure to make a reservation in the local beach clubs aswell. All in all we highly recommend staying in Astoria Vico Hotel!

I have travelled around the world twice and I have never ever come across such friendly staff! Absolutely amazing. I missed my bus to the airport and the they went out of their way to help me. And I got there. Absolute superstars they are. Thank you Hotel Astoria❤️

The location of this hotel is good as it is close to train station and bus station but still it is on a busy and noisy street so you might want to consider this when booking. Breakfast and cleanliness in room where very good. Let me now pass to the flaws.. which I think are too many considering we had just a 3 night stay! First of all the Tv was not working and by the time it was fixed our stay was over. One day we had to go down to reception and ask for paper towels, the next we had to go down to ask for shower gel! I mean this is basic stuff, it should be available in the room!! We spent also 3 days without a minibar. The staff knew it was not working but tried to hide it! And we found out by coincidence. Bought a bottle of wine from a local shop we found whilst wandering in the local streets with the plan to drink it in the room but viola! Opened the minibar to cool it and realised this was not working! The technician took it to fix it once we reported and not even a replacement was provided. You have to keep in mind that temperatures were still high there and after a day out, a cool drink in the room could have been very much appreciated! On the day we were packing to leave, we said what a pity having to leave the unopened wine here, we could not take it with us on the flight so we gave it to the guy at the reception whom we found out afterwards that he is the hotel’s manager. After all the flaws what we got was just a cold apology for the minibar, and instead of complaining, we ended up giving the wine as a gift! Once back, we left a review on a different website; a true and fair review of our experience. And apart from the sarcastic response we got, the hotel manager also wrote to us not to worry about the wine as it was not-so good!! This is unbelievable - What a rude way to reply to your guests! You are not capable of looking after a small number of people in a tiny hotel, i cant even imagine what a bad service you would give if you had to manage a bigger hotel! Well next time, we would empty the wine in the toilet!! My message to all of you is this: PLEASE spend your money elsewhere!!! There are plenty of other better hotels in the area.…

Dear Guest, I avoided answering the first time as I do not consider your review constructive. you talk about an objective review but apparently your review seems so much done to discredit the structure and I don't know why. Continuing by points: you said the room was clean and rated 5/10 in the review made on the other site. the first day you asked for the third roll of toilet paper after being supplied 2, but I don't want to know what use you made of it. on the second day you requested the third bottle of shampoo that is part of the courtesy line, which I remember even though you should know since you are so intelligent that as a 3-star hotel we are not required to change it daily. the television only needed to be updated by disconnecting and replacing the power. as for the mini bar there was a problem that we tried to solve as soon as possible but I don't think this could ruin an holiday. usually if I make a gift I am not proud of having done it, but obviously the elegance or you have it or you can't learn it. If you negatively reviews a structure where 99% of the people who have stayed with us think that it is a great 3-stars means only 2 things: either that you have never left the house or the other 99% don't understand anything. the last thing and i finish, I have already given instructions to my lawyer to protect my person, injured by your first comment on trip advisor where my personal details appeared. good evening and see you soon.
