We had a nice stay here for our last night in Tuscany. The hotel is located in a good position right near one of the town gates but it is still just a few minute walk to most of the sites and restaurants in Volterra. The price was quite reasonable as well and included breakfast. The staff was very welcoming...

We were very happy with the room, huge modern bathroom , great staff and great location. Ask for a renovated room, the lobby is deceiving. The rooms for the price are very cute. There is a paying parking 2 min walk from the hotel. Worth paying for the facility.

We stayed here as part of a tour, we stayed there two nights. The hotel was very nice, as most hotels in Europe, cozy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a fridge in the room which was nice to keep drinks cold. It has a small patio on the first floor (actual second floor, main floor is...

Hotel easy to find. Although there is no parking at the hotel there are spaces for forty five minutes to load and unload just a hundred yards from the hotel and then a free car park to move your car to. The hotel is well situated for access to Volterra. It is well decorated with good sized rooms. A good...

We were put into this hotel by the travel company we booked a walking holiday with as the normal one they use was full up. The location was great for going out to bars and restaurants although the town is not that big anyway but this was a great location to stay. It is right on the edge of the...

We were in a room that was off the main street, which many other reviews indicated is quite noisy. Our room was very quiet and comfortable. Our bathroom was in need of a refurbishment with no shower, just a hose in the bath with a small screen, which meant that every time we showered, we flooded the bathroom, which smelt...

Located at the far end (which really is not that far) of where the bus drops off, this is a wonderful place to stay in a classic Italian hill town that (judging by my fellow tourists) gets overlooked. I had studied the ancient Etruscans before I left, so I was fascinated with the town. The hotel staff is wonderful, and...

Stayed here for 2 nights. Absolutely wonderful helpful and efficient reception. Quaint, old building but refurbished internally and we had a spacious room, plenty of storage and with the most incredible bathroom. Lovely breakfasts in the morning with selections of yoghurts, juices, cereal and fresh cheese and ham and various breads. Cake if you want to embrace the Italian way....

In those days he fixed onto the front of the building some urns, boxes for urns and the tops of urns from the etruscan time, with representations of fantastic animals and scenes of the trip to the inferno.he found all this here when he excavated the site.to decide to stay at the hotel la locanda means discovering the wonders of the culture of a remarkable town. ... more   less
