Rooms very basic and hot water (sometimes freshwater in rooms) only available after 6pm! Room rates a little excessive for Thai .... we paid 2600bhat which included Dinner, breakfast and transfer on water. Great spot with kayaks provided even for day trippers and restaurant not too bad. Only an hours drive from Chiang Mai and a nice spot to visit

We spent all afternoon here. It is not easy to get to by public transport. So either rent a motorbike or taxi. It is nice and cool fresh water. On the boat house you can enjoy fresh water fish. We ordered steamed and grilled fish along with veg and fruits. Plenty of fresh drinks. You need to take a boat...

So our family of 6 & another couple went and stayed 2 nights. It was great. The food was delicious and lake floats provided hours of fun. Their kayaks were a bit old but still did great. Honestly I recommend waking up at sunrise to see the fog lifting off the lake.

stayed there with 8 friends and my wife and I, the accommodations were adequate considering you are on a houseboat, the food amazing, although the breakfast could be better, all in all a great place to relax and unwind in a beautiful tranquil setting.

I was ver excited for having a chance of being on a houseboat the first time but it was not as I expected. It was easy to go there really. (Will talk about coming back later :) Park your car, get down to the coast by car and get on the boat to get there. First impression was "ok i...

Nice place to get away from it all and enjoy being by the water. Going with a group of friends was a lot of fun. We were there during the week so it wasn't busy. I think during the weekends it would be busier and maybe noisy at night.

Eakachai Houseboat is a fun and relaxing site on the lake. It is clean and has great food at reasonable prices. Many areas on the houseboat to just sit and relax and get some sun. Swim and sightsee with rental boats if you like. The staff are all helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. I highly recommend...

We love the new improvements to the houseboats that we experienced on our recent visit. Boat service there was efficient, the bathrooms were great...even showers. But what we loved most were the new inflatable climbing toys on the water. This has made it a super place for families with kids, particularly if they are confident in the water. As a...

When it opened a few years ago, it was literally the only serious resort/restaurant, the lake was clean, the food was good and hospitality self-evident. Now there are a lot of these places, the waste water shows up on the lake (yes! ) the price for the boat ride went up, the quality of the food went down, the service...
